This suggests the recent poll showing a Romney surge in South Carolina was not absurd.

A agree with the poster above. The sooner Guilliani is gone the better. Let’s let Thompson and Romney compete and endure the trial by fire. That’s what a campaign is. Who emerges between those two will be a formidable candidate and has a very good shot at beating Hillary in an environment of Iraq victory.
