Armed with a law degree and a master's of business administration from Harvard, he's the well-prepped answer man on health care and immigration, and quick-draw responder to the urgent events of the media moment. Staples would be one of the great American business success stories. It's an $18 billion company with 1,700 stores. Christensen, now a professor at Harvard Business School, describes Romney as "a great helicopter pilot. He can go down to the level of detail to see what a person needs and can go up to see the big picture and then fly away when he has the right people in place," Christensen said.
Romney's personal wealth, now estimated at up to $250 million, soared on the wings of his success.

Romney may have flaws, but he has real world experience in the privates sector and as an executive in the public sector.

Those who will vote for "anyone" to defeat someone they most dislike, just might get much worse in the bargain, as I personally believe, Rudy, Mitt, and Fred to be.
You wind up supporting someone that you don't agree with merely to not get whom you agree with.

I agree w/Ann Coulter and Rush, the primaries haven't even been held yet, so hold notify as many people in the early states who get some chance to pick. Even then, there will most likely be higher percentages for "others" than for these so-called "front runners."
Remember, these people are only "front runners" to the media and other elites NOT the general public!
Most successful leaders are successful because the select the right people and give those people the authority and responsibility to achieve certain goals. Reagan was great for these reasons. Jimmy Carter and Clinton tended to micromanage and were not successful.

Thompson is not my first pick (its probably Huckabee) but I sure would be able to pull the lever for him in the general. But as for Willard, Trudy, and McLame ill either sit home or vote third party..

Liberty is the *MAIN* thing that makes up a hyper power in the world. Our kids in Iraq are not laying out on the line for economics, nor have any of our fallen heroes throughout history died for a tax bracket or good fiscal policy they did it for liberty!

A good CEO does bring people with him, either directly or indirectly. These are people who you've added to your network and learned to trust and do business with along your climb to top jobs in corporate America, which eventually gave you that first CEO position.
Plus Fred is a conservative.
I don’t think Fred is the conservative all his supporters think he is. They guy was a big supporter of CFR and was against Tort Reform.
Economic strength provides a whole lot of liberty. Pays for the best military in the world, allows us a higher standard of living than just about anywhere else in the world, allows people a path to be responsible for themselves and their dependents and it allows us to influence what goes on in the world. Poor nations and those with bad economic policies are far more unstable and far more restrictive of personal liberties.
Whoever gets the job had better know what they are doing when it comes to matters involving dollars and cents. Romney has that knowledge. Too bad he has real weaknesses in other important areas.

well, if you think Fred isn't a conservative, then Rommey must be a far left moonbat, because he certainly is far left of Fred. It's evident what people think of Fred,as well as what they think of Rommey which is why Fred is way ahead of him in the polls.

Let’s just say it’s not high on my criteria for President. Reagan was a successful Governor, ie. executive. I wouldn’t put Thompson and Reagan in the same sentence.
WRT to what makes a good CEO, whether you use my logic or yours, it bolsters my argument, that Romney has shown leadership and success in the private sector.
Romney is supposed to be brilliant because he has a Hahvaad MBA. Of course, GWB has one also and he is supposed to be stupid. The MSM can’t get the frame straight.
