If it is for the Nobel, he is going to have a long wait!!
************

Since 1901, the Nobel Prizes have been presented to the Laureates at ceremonies on 10 December, the anniversary of Alfred Nobel’s death.

Could someone please explain to me how making a jokumentary that’s filled with so much fiction that even the Oscar committee had to suspend its rule on truthfulness — could qualify for the peace prize?

But then, maybe if he wins, he’ll decide to throw his hat into the presidential ring and that would pull votes aplenty from Hillary. Then he’d finally be even.

The Nobel Peace Prize doesn’t mean anything more than an Oscar. At least the Oscar once was given out to people with talent. No longer is that the case.

Same is true, apparently, for the Nobels. So he could have two meaningless pieces of gold sitting on his fireplace mantle.

Big deal.

Alfred Nobel, after seeing his invention, dynamite, used in war, decided to establish a monetary award to someone who worked to encourage peace instead of war.

Nobel gets a bad rap for the mythical application of his invention to war. Dynamite is used mostly in construction or demolition. It is subject to detonation by shock and thereby unusable in shells, land mines, bullets etc. TNT and cordite are or were the main ingredient of instruments of warfare.

Unable to fight this perception he and his family gave in and decided to use their wealth in the endeavors of peace for humanity

It is a slap in the face to people actually pursuing peace in the world to give it to folks like Jimmah Cahtah ******** Don't forget, Jimmah can still serve as Prez for 1 more term.

???
Based on an earlier misspelling in this thread.
BTW, there’s a spelling error in the title to this thread. It should read,;
Al Gore Called Away Unexpectedly for ‘Exciting and Urgent Emission.’

I see Rush was off today, also ... perhaps they're the two finalists.

Really, knowing that Jimmy Carter got one is all you ever need to know about the Nobel Prize.

I thought the Nobel peace prize had already lost all credibility, but if Gore gets it, it’ll be a total joke.

Yes, the formal ceremony is in December but IF the Goreacle has received any heads-up that he is the winner then he may well be trying to locate himself before Friday in the city where he could try to make the biggest PR splash, i.e, NYC, DC, London, Paris, etc. OR, maybe he is flying off to Greenland, the Arctic Circle somewhere, etc. so that he can rant about glaciers and polar bears right after the news hits. IF his sudden mysterious departure has to do with the Nobel, THEN I’d guess it is highly likely he is positioning himself for maximum propaganda tomorrow and in coming days. UGH.

They awarded the same “prize” to a murderer like Yassir Arafat, someone whose place was more rightly on the gallows than on a stage in Sweden accepting a sham award. But if they want Gore, I’d say it’s a done deal, a lot like his Oscar. Everyone knew he was going to get it, because of politics. There was no actual merit involved in the decision, just feel-good politics by star-struck bureaucrats.

Ignorant speculation. At this point the committee simply calls you. Award ceremony isn’t until December, so there would be NO reason for Gore to be flying anywhere.

I think it's perfect...Al Gore getting an "award" for global warming....from the legacy of Alfred Nobel the inventor of high explosive dynamite.

It's just as much a farce as anything else this buffoon or the left does.....
