At a time when party affiliation is fraying and a third of Americans consider themselves independent, to build a majority of 50% plus one requires persuasion. Independents will not accept all parts of either party's platform or approach but will choose a candidate for office based on which issues matter to them, and whether one or the other party connects with them on those issues. It is a skill to disagree at times without being disagreeable. Ronald Reagan had it, and it is one of the reasons he became so popular and patched together a large winning coalition . Coulter has clearly decided there is no economic advantage for her in this approach...

Oh, hell, the media and democrats villify those conservatives who play nice, also. I appreciate Ann for what she does. She lends courage to other conservatives to stand up and speak their minds. Ann also had some kind words for observant Jews. Donnie Deutsch was visibly upset when Ann he isn't an observant Jew. When Deutsch claimed he was observant, Ann laughed at him. He was pissed.

If Deutsch isn’t observant, it’s very funny. How many liberal Jews do you know who are observant?
That said "Christians are the perfected Jews" is a common theological conviction. What she said was not an attempt to denigrate Jews but rather to confirm to her theological convictions.
Since most are ignorant of even basic theological constructs, this seems biased if not bigoted by the usual proletariat pundit.
I find her books (Godless for example) to be well thought out and cogent; however, her TV appearances leave me cold.
The issue is that Deutsch was baiting her and she took the bait like a trophy muskellunge.
I’ve never trusted Coulter since I lost an argument with my grandfather and he called me out on my using her false statistics.
This one is pretty good.
