This Jew is not indignant. I'm outraged. I respect another's religion and expect others to respect mine.
"Perfect" yourself before you try to "perfect" me.
She has hurt, not only the conservative movement, but has fed into the stereotype of conservatives, propagated by the Left.
I'm not indignant. I'm disgusted. I liked Ann and, I'm sorry to say, I bought 2 of her books. That will not happen again.
Frankly, your dismissal of those who are, as I am, outraged, is wishful thinking.
And as an aside, I might mention, that ANYONE that tries to "perfect" me, is in for a very nasty surprise.
If you indeed respected Ann Coulter's religion you wouldn't be outraged at all. You see, part of Xhristianity is to eveangelize. For that you can't blame Ann, perhaps Jesus of Nazareth but certainly not Ann.
Should I be outraged that Jews vote overwhelmingly democrat while Israels foremost supporters in America, aside from Jewish folk, are Christians?
I am never outraged when the Adventists, Mormons or Jehovahs Witnesses come calling seeking to evangelize. Where does all of this outrage come from?
Ann is for Ann.
For the record, my wife is a Jew. The only reason I’m not is because I’m too lazy to go through the whole conversion process. :)
While I doubt it would make a difference, I attempt to explain what I believe Coulter may have meant there in post #94.
She has hurt, not only the conservative movement, but has fed into the stereotype of conservatives, propagated by the Left.
Hmm. Now did you believe this before or after she offended you personally?
I'm not indignant. I'm disgusted. I liked Ann and, I'm sorry to say, I bought 2 of her books. That will not happen again.
So, she's lost a fan. That is not at all the same thing as driving people from conservatism. I take it, if you bought a couple of her books and are on this forum that you have at least some conservative beliefs. Have any of them changed because of this event? Somehow, I doubt it.
And as an aside, I might mention, that ANYONE that tries to "perfect" me, is in for a very nasty surprise.
I, for one, welcome our new Passover-observing, jihad starting overlords.
Enjoy your anger over this nonsense. If not feigned, your outrage and disgust are terribly misspent. While I think Ann’s theological understanding leaves much to be desired, there was nothing she said that justifies a rise in your blood pressure.
Wow. On a scale of "0" to whatever, with "100" assigned to Columbia inviting the leader of Iran, who wants to destroy Israel, to speak, where does your outrage at Ann rank?
50? 1000?
What you feel, you feel. As I am not Jewish, I do not have your perspective.
I am only asking if you saw the segment video (wait for the part after the commercial break), or heard the later WOR interview.
Do you think there is an objective truth to your beliefs? Or are they just correct for you? If you believed that your truth was objective truth and not just relative truth, would it be wrong to say you were right?
Through his letters, Saul, flim-flammed many an audience on a number of topics, including but not limited to: direct conversion, circumcision, Sabbath and dietary laws. There weren't many others who damaged Christianity as much; Henry VIII by creating Roman Catholicism by Parliament, Martin Luther by institutionalizing anti-Semitism, the Millerite and Mormon movements of upstate New York and the tent evangelical movements.
Judaism is just fine. I have respect for a theology that basically says, "When you're ready, we're here."
