Winters are so dark and dreary... Perhaps you should let the light of Christ into your life, and celebrate Christmas.

“We’re featuring peace and harmony,” said Mike Feldman, deputy managing director of the airport.

So wait a minute, this article essentially says there won't be trees, but there will be
a collection of handcrafted birch trees surrounded by lights and nestled in a pseudo-snowbank. Sounds like trees to me, handcrafted or not.
Might be a nice display. I'll wait to pass judgment until I see it.

That’s OK as long as I have my prayer rug and have a place to wash my feet and a private place to prey (exsuse me, I meant PRAY) etc. Plus I’ll have all my Kwanzaa gear, candles and presents with me.
And I know they won’t search my wife in her burka or my friends turban. We’ll be OK
No sarcasm here, no sir.

Mike Feldman is gonna get a bundle of sticks from Santa this year! I wonder if the airport authority thinks this repudiation of a mostly Christian tradition will provide additional protection from terrorists? And don’t bother telling me a Christmas tree isn’t Christian, it’s a part of the Christmas tradition we’ve enjoyed for years.

Ah, nothing gets the dreariness out of the winter like bringing the dreariness inside. Why don’t they just call it Suicide Season in Seattle?

As an offering to the ROP can we have Santa holding a knife and a severed head?

"We're featuring peace and harmony," said Mike Feldman, deputy managing director of the airport. "We're using lights. Winters are so dark and dreary." That means no Santa Claus at the airport. No Christmas tree. And no menorahs. Nothing that smacks of a religious Christmas or Hanukkah celebration. If these people are so much against Christmas, why do they feel the need to decorate at all? Why is "peace and harmony" recognized as a wintertime concept? If you attribute peace and harmoney to winter, what are the attributes of the other seasons, and what decorations are displayed for those?
The "no religious displays" idea is a cop-out. If you don't want to decorate because it's too costly, or takes too much time, don't decorate. But to decorate, and then give some concocted meaning to your effort so you don't "offend anyone" is nothing more than a cop-out.
