"I speak for at least half the people here, including the Founder Jim Robinson, who has stated he will not vote for Giuliani under any circumstance."

Agree.

NOTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN LIFE

Don't Cut and Run, vote pro-life every time. It's the way you always win.

‘We cannot diminish the value of one category of human life — the unborn — without diminishing the value of all human life.’ —Ronald Reagan

I agree. Duncan gets my whole-hearted support. He should have been given a lot more exposure.

And BTW, have we become so skewed in our thinking that we insist that one must have “charisma”, not to even mention lots of money, to run for President? Tell me it isn’t so.

Reagan's record on abortion is pretty good

Yes, it was - which proves the point that whoever is President, nothing will be done which has the actual effect of reducing access to abortion or even reducing the number of abortions.

Yes, it was - and if Ronald Reagan were resurrected and elected to two more terms, there would be more abortions in 2017 than there were in 2009, and you know it.

Presidential politics is barking up the wrong tree.

Rooty is more likely to nominate Lawrence Tribe or Alan Dershowitz before nominating another Clarence Thomas or Antonin Scalia.

Never trust a liberal.

Good example. Look at Arnie Schwarzy`s time as the Govinator. Liberal and lousy.

What many people don’t seem to understand is that the “abortion issue” is the “slavery issue” of our time.

In the case of slavery, you didn’t have simple opinions about it. It was a part of who you were. Either the slaves were human beings, fully deserving of all the rights and privileges of any other human being, or they were less than fully human.

There really isn’t any difference in the thinking about abortion. Either it’s a human baby, or it isn’t. It’s really that simple. And that belief is a defining part of who you are.

And if you believe that this is a baby, then killing that baby is immoral under any but the most extreme circumstances, and is the taking of an innocent life, which is, at the very least, manslaughter or homicide.

On the other hand, if you see the fetus as just a bunch of cells, then I suppose it’s no different than having a wart removed. Just more expensive and invasive. But that begs a question: At what point does that bunch of cells become a baby? Unfortunately, some people actually believe that doesn’t occur until WELL AFTER BIRTH, at least according to certain “bio-ethicists.”

That’s why I don’t believe that there can ever be a “truce” between the pro-life and pro-abortion groups.

Mark

I'm pretty sure there were RINOs saying the same thing about slavery a century and a half ago.

Immediately criminalizing 1,000,000 women a year (approx no abortions) is not going to happen in Congress or SCOTUS. Other than discharging emotion, trying to achieve this criminalization has no real workable goal.

No one has ever suggested or proposed criminalizing women. Only abortion doctors.

I find it strange that you don't know this. For some reason, you are using the NARAL talking points here. They always pretend we're interested in putting pregnant women in prison which is completely false. I would like for the NARAL folks or for you to just once back up this claim and show us a quote from a major pro-life leader or politician or any proposed pro-life legislation that would "criminalize" pregnant women.

If we do overturn Roe and criminalize abortion procedures, it will only be for performing the procedure. Various states would differ on the specifics of what to do if, say, a midwife performed an abortion (practicing medicine without a license) or if a woman attempted a self-abortion (pretty much self-evident insanity with suicidal tendency).

NOTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN LIFE

By which standard is this true? Is this to say freedom is worth less than life? Is this to say self-respect is worth less than life? Is this to say principles are worth less than life?

How many men, women and children have died to protect freedom? Is that to say they shouldn't have forfeited their lives so we could have freedom? Is that to say those who would not live under the yoke of oppression would have been better off if they would have willingly accepted tyranny and despotism? Is that to say one should abandon his or her principles to save one's life?

I don't believe so. Martyrdom has a long history in defense of a cause. Paying a price with one's own life is often the necessary cost for principle.

“Look, if you’re not going to fight for conservatism, why are you even here. This is a pro-life conservative organization you know.”

Jim that is totally uncalled for. I am pro life and for the first time in my 63 years sent money to a political candidate, Fred Thompson.

I believe that any candidate the GOP puts up is better than the beast and will get my vote.

You’re talking about voting for a liberal in 2008.

An aboritonist no less.

That is defeatism of the first order!

The "price" as it stand right now is 3500 innocent Americans every day. Is there a point at which you will consider them worthy of your support?
