My mom and niece are evacuating their homes as of 10:30 PM PDT. She lives out near Valhalla High School on the south edge of El Cajon. Both of them are headed to a safer location in Chula Vista.

College of the Canyons fire a few years back. Got a Fire Chief screaming at me to get his coms up so he can talk to mutual aid coming in from up north.
Ah Chief, you’re not going to like this. It ain’t a simple fix.
Some genious made the decision to reband NOCAL and leave SOCAL for the next year.
Naturally there was a big fire and no one could talk to each other.
