A Republican is never so brave or admirable as when he is raising taxes... At least according to the MSM.

Any Republican who pulls the “padlock the parks” routine is off my list. It is the oldest trick in the tax-raiser’s book, and one of the most disingenuous.

Dude, I’m still moving to WY instead of ID or MT because of taxes. I vote with my feet.

Pawlenty pulled it off in MN and nobody suffered at all. He stood up to democrats and RINOS who howled for giant increases.

..no doubt in my mind now

Huck is the darling of the "establishment" religious right--I still am not convinced he is that popular with the average religious conservative...

So, basically what you’re saying/doing is that Hunter is going nowhere and you’re trying to tear down one of the remaining credible alternatives to Rudy and Mitt.

Lemme see, now. When was Dirk Kempthorne governor of my current home state? Dirk Kempthorne took the oath of office as the 49th Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior on May 26, 2006. Prior to this date Kempthorne served nearly two terms as Governor of Idaho, elected first in 1998 and reelected in 2002. C. L. Otter has been governor since Jan. 1, 2007. During the interim Jim Risch served as Governor.

What particular courage or intelligence does it take to raise taxes?

That’s always the easy way, the coward’s way, and is equally true if done by a Dimocrat or a Republican.

Somehow we always hear about the terrible pain experienced by the taxeaters, whenever their benefits don’t rise quickly enough, but seldom about the pain experienced by taxpayers, as they are robbed of more and more of their hard-earned money every year.
