Yes, I believe he’d be the one guy who would give us the “truth” about Area 51

...Right...Right after he gives us the skinny on Tower #7, I'm sure.

If he's so great, then why not vote for the guy? I'm sure he'd appreciate it.

He must've had his hot wife backstage cooing answers in his ear.

...mmm...hot wife...drool...me like...

LOL. Fred had a good night. It'll be interesting to see new polls and whether he dented Rudi's numbers, especially in FL.

This is why the MSM is proping up Huckabee.

They need a ronpaul for Thompson. Essentially a vote splitter.

The only function of the Frutless Five candidates is to vote split to clear a path for Giuliani’s 27% plurality.

LOL! Good news from the MSM = bad news for true, concerned and deep thinking conservatives.
But then, with anyone under 65, situational ethics rules.

Hey, Fred did pretty well last night, but since when do you’all think the MSM is right?

That being said, how can you claim Fred won when in another post to FR the following is quoted: “The Fox News Republican Presidential debate in Orlando Florida revealed that the GOP nomination is still up for grabs. According to Fox News Viewers text voting after the debate, Ron Paul won with 34%, Huckabee came in second with 27%, and Giuliani third with 11%.”

Because those call-in type polls are not accurate and one person can vote many times. Paul supporters are notorious for spamming polls.

More like waiting for the moment.

He’s one of 12 people in a closet speaking all at once. He’s just cruising along waiting until the closet gets depopulated.

>> Thompson should choose Duncan Hunter as his VP candidate

I can understand the appeal on this board to a Hunter VP nomination ... but, honestly, Hunter makes zero sense on a strategic or political level. Nobody knows who he is - so his name-recognition value is zero - and he doesn’t bring any segment of voters that Thompson couldn’t caputure.

Personally, I’d prefer J.C. Watts as a VP candidate. Watts is younger, has name recognition, and is an up-and-comer in the GOP ranks. He’d be a fine President, and would have a good shot at the WH in 8 years. Plus - his race would mute any effects Hillary could get by choosing Obama as a running mate. I’m not sure his state of origin would be particularly helpful, though.

Other names I’ve heard that might have some merit ... John Cornyn (Senator, TX), Gen. Peter Pace, Mitt Romney (might help in the Northeast), Rudy Giuliani (I’d prefer him for DHS, though), Ron Paul (just kidding). None of these are perfect candidates, but their name recognition and/or popularity in areas of the country that wouldn’t necessarily be Thompson’s strengths seem more helpful than Duncan Hunter might be.

Fred would do much better if he got rid of the “uh’s”...

He did better in this one than the first one. I think debate prep may be why he disappeared this last week. And he really picked up the pace.

I thought he mustered facts well and was organized. Not up to Rudi's professional debater level of preparedness but markedly improved.

It's not too late for Fred, no matter what anyone says.

I love Hunter, but I don’t think he will get the exposure or the money. I like Fred, and I was happy he took the chance to point out Rooty’s liberal history.

The Thompson/Hunter ticket would put a good strong VP on the ticket.

We are going to all have to mobilze soon if we want to keep RINO Rooty from taking the primary wins because we all split between too many candidates.

I’m ONLY saying he had a good take on the issue of health insurance coverage. He framed the problem very well and articulately. I believe you missed the remainder of my comment, I won’t be voting for him (I hope), but neither will I go after him for being to the Republican Party what Denis Kocynich (sp?) is to the Democrat party.

Nope, didn't miss your point about not voting for him. That's why I asked the question.

But heck, RP, Dennis Kucinich, they're both a barrel of laughs. C'mon, yuk it up with the rest of us. It's fun when you get the ol' laugh machine going.

Because those call-in type polls are not accurate and one person can vote many times.

Obviously, you don't know what you're talking about.

Fox News uses caller-ID on the text messaging calls and allows each phone just one vote. It was this way in the previous texting polling by FNC too. That's why it makes Vannity so mad when RP wins. They thought they could avoid spamming.

Has Romney modeled? If we had a Most Handsome award, he would win.

He could definitely beat Hillary in that race too!

LOL
