Because I believe Guiliani will appoint judges that are acceptable to the leftwingers.

‘As has been pointed out numerous times on these threads, the crime rate in NYC had already started to fall under Mayor Dinkins.’

While that might be true, it didn’t force the hookers to leave Times Square, didn’t stop drunks from pissing in doorways or worse, etc etc etc.

‘Omigod, a principled voter. You are obviously The Enemy. We’ll have to track you down now.’

(chuckle)

You’d be surprised how many actually view it that way.

It was noticeably larger to begin with, wasn’t it?

Of course it was. No one denies that.

But be careful about treading into areas where the facts can be tripped over, leaving you and your cause looking foolish.

All I posted was that Rudy was supported by the Liberal party which supports liberal positions. This is true. Denying it would be "foolish".

The judicial appointments will be extremely important and I don’t think any one knows with any degree of certainty what sort of judges any of the candidates will appoint. Giuliani made positive statements about the type of judge that he will be looking for, but those are not at all binding. However, if the decision will be between Giuliani and the uncertainty of his judicial appointments and Clinton and the certainty of her judicial appointments, I will have to go with uncertainty.

where will a former NYC DOJ lawyer have lawyers?

What pool with the NYC liberal look to?

What pool will he select his advisors?

his 8 -1 liberal selection history speaks volumes.

Expect a Ginsberg not an Alito or Roberts from Giuliani.

While Giuliani stated that he will appoint constructionist judges, you can never be sure. You can, however, be certain what kind of judges Clinton will appoint.

You should review Guiliani’s previous appointments, and his comments before he ever dreamed he’d be a viable candidate for President.

Second, we all know he thinks ‘gay rights’ are just that, Rights. To me, defining oneself via a sex act is simply bizzare.

Not to Rudy.

This is a man that thought suing gun manufactureres was a ‘good idea’. I can draw some conclusions about the type of judges he would select based on that alone.

I won’t vote for Rudy Guiliani under any circumstances.

I am just floored by these posts. Most American cities are bastions of liberalism, bouyed by the government cradle to grave entitlements that flood them and keep people who have depended on them for generations voting for liberal
demoncrats. NYC is only bigger, but certainly no worse than D.C., Los Angeles, Boston, Philadelphia or Atlanta, GA! But in each American city, no matter how liberal, there is a small core of patriotic conservative Americans who remember how good this country used to be. And any attack on any American city is an attack on America. Anyone who doesn’t agree might as well join the other side.

No Giuliani, NO PROBLEM.

Vote either Thompson or Romney in the primary and Giuliani is a moot point.

...how would a Romney/Giuliani or a Thompson/Giuliani ticket grab you?

NO MORE "compassionate conservatism" and "reaching across the aisle" to LIBERALS (whether they have a "D", OR an "R" after their names)...

PERIOD.

In simpler, more specific terms...

A big fat, HELL NO, to both RINO-rudy, and RINO-mitt, for POTUS OR VPOTUS.

I’m very concerned that there are some really ignorant folks out there that will take this hook, line and sinker.

You mean the dolts who THINK RINO-rudy is conservative, just because HE, and his rooter/RINOphiles in the left-wing media, and elsewhere, says so.

Rudy is absolutely hated by the liberal establishment and the left in total.

Then I guess the RINOphiles that say HE is the ONLY one that can beat hillary, are probably DEAD WRONG, huh?

The FACT is, at the time of this post, polls in at least two northern BLUE states, show hillary soundly BEATING the much vaunted (by the left-wing media, and RINOphiles everywhere) RINO from nyc.

We Republicans can, and WILL, do MUCH better in selecting our candidate for POTUS, and NO RINO's need apply.

Anyone who makes a conclusion at this point in the election is wrong. There’s a long way to go. But unfortunately, the window is very narrow so the race for both parties will most likely be over by February.

That makes the whole primary process a joke. So, I wouldn’t pin that on Rinos alone. Some analyst say that if Shrillary takes Iowa her money and organizational strength re: bribes will make it a done deal.

All this focus on Rudy and his shortcomings is premature. The Republican race is much more of open albeit much too shortened process.

While Giuliani stated that he will appoint constructionist judges, you can never be sure. You can, however, be certain what kind of judges Clinton will appoint.

The gun-grabbing RINO doesn't have a real CLUE what the 2nd Amendment REALLY means (witness his screwing up the words of the 2nd Amendment, which prompted the FAKE phone call from his "wife"/handler, in front of the NRA, no less!), AND, his LIBERAL view of what a "strict constructionist" is, is likley little different than hillary.

He also thinks it's O.K. for the states (and, apparently, cities) to INFRINGE upon OUR 2nd Amendment RIGHTS. What's next? Will it be O.K. for the states to cancel my 1st Amendment RIGHTS when RINO-rudy, being the bullying, infamous, big-government jack-booted-thug he is, makes it to the White House?

Besides, given his track record, and refusal to answer the questions asked of him, I don't believe a WORD he says.

The MAIN point is though, IF we enable/allow a liberal from nyc to be OUR Republican President, he will do FAR MORE damage than a liberal dem making the same appointments, decisions, etc.

The reason being?

We will have watered down our platform to where it is no longer recognizable, sold out our core principles, and set a dangerous precedent which will have dire consequences for our party and our country for DECADES to come.

Just say NO to any and all LIBERAL RINO's.
