Greg Marnell thinks everyone has a right to do business in the United States, even Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez. While filing his gas tank at Tyke's Citgo in Monroeville, Marnell said he is aware of Chavez's ties to the gasoline company.
"America's the melting pot, isn't it? Everybody has the right to come here and make money," said Marnell of Monroeville.
But Chavez's increasing anti-U.S. antics may be hurting the oil-rich South American nation at the gasoline pump. So says gasoline distributor Don Bowers, who acknowledges motorists seem to be buying less gasoline from Citgo, a subsidiary of Petroleos de Venezuela, S.A.

Mrs. jimfree and I have been boycotting for a while. She bought from Citgo several months ago and on seeing my look she realized the error. We don’t support tinpots.
I don't buy Citgo gas or any other product sold under that brand name.
Chavez is as bad or worse than Castro ever thought of being, so why contribute to a communist dictator and his government who wants to destroy us when there are American owned companies which pay taxes in the US selling the same products of equal or better quality at the same price?

7-11 is switching to their own gas. They had planned that prior to the protest against Citgo.
Miller sponsored a homo butt-fest in San Francisco this year.

I avoid any station selling Citgo. Won’t buy the gas, and won’t buy anything in their convience stores either. I know the stores money (other than gas sales) doesn’t go to Venezuela, but I don’t care.
