My take is that deep down inside, despite all of their rationalization and justification, they KNOW that what they do is WRONG. And they are psychologically miserable for it.

1st Corinthians Chapter 6 Verse 9 (New International Version) tells that ... nor homosexual offenders ... will inherit the kingdom of God.

No verse found yet, as to characteristics.

This particular sexual sin is the kind that can take a whole city and then get it nuked from Heaven.”

You just described my view of hell, total chaos.

God only gave us 10 commandments to follow. We manipulated the rest. Any one that cannot obey those 10 commandments, will not obey any laws.

Morality is based on the way humans are made. Things that are not in harmony with the way we are made are bad. Things that are in harmony with the way we are made are good.
The left has it ass-backwards.

It’s not that the left expects people to be just tolerant. It’s that they insist you also embrace, celebrate and promote it.....or else.

There is such emphasis, not because we intentionally and specifically chose to target this particular sin, but rather, because strident moral relativists demand that, in contrast to the other sins you address, the sin of homosexuality not only be "tolerated," but celebrated.

I would've taken it a step further and said that the purveyors of sodomy are forcing their perversity on children in the schools, on television and on cable, wherever they can get away with it.

Nice post!

I agree that the whole gay sex practice repetoire is pretty revolting.
Yet many heterosexual couples do exactly the same types of acts and few people anymore get too upset about THOSE questionable practices.

Point’s been missed here. The Homo Lobby is trying to reclassify a sin. That’s the beef. There isn’t a SINGLE major religion that doesn’t see homosexuality as some form of ‘bad’, and that includes Budhism, Judaism, Islam, Christianity, and others.

The Christians are taking the heat because they are the social pinata for most of society anyway.

Homos want us to see something that is clearly a disease as just another type of normal. “We’re here, we’re queer, deal with it,” is the attitude.

I’ll start respecting homosexuals when that start looking for a cure. The research linking homosexuality and child molestation is solid, and swept under the rug in the entire debate. That makes them a direct threat to my family, so long as they DON’T want to seek a cure.

When they are honest enough to admit they aren’t normal and need help, I’ll be inclined to help them.

In the mean time, they can leave our society alone, if they please.

You know, the massive irony in all of this is that the HIV threat is nowhere near as serious if we instead focus on the root cause of the major disease vector instead.

We’ve wasted 30 years in the search for a cure for Homosexuality. When they do find the cause for it, and they will, they will look back on the loopy 1990’s and 2000’s and call us idiots.

Some People, who would pillory me for having strong views about homosexuality on the basis of “it’s none of my business” would be the first in line to tell me what I can eat, if I can smoke, what I can drink, how I should worship, and whether I can carry a gun.

I was thinking the same.

However, we should not be sidetracked by debating morality among ourselves, as this thread is doing, but recognize and concentrate on the true enemy - the left in this country. They stated their plan long ago and are methodically and successfully carrying it out (google Communist Goals).

In order to take over a free, moral and stable society they must first destroy those characteristics. Creating victims (minorities) like certain races, women, sexual deviants, the poor, etc., they created divisions and set one against another to foment instability. They use our morals and generous natures to foster bigger government upon us, which in reality increases their control over us and funds their effort to destroy us.

Back to the article starting this thread, we should do as the 19 year old recommends and the Bible instructs us, "Hate the sin but love the sinner.", and do it assertively, not defensively. We should talk more about being positively and proudly moral and less about avoiding behaviors. We avoid those behaviors not just because they are a no-no but because we actively prefer the other, moral choice. It is a choice and we choose morality.

Many fear "the Christian Right" because they think we will impose our values on them, turning America into a Puritan society. Yet those same people, as you point out, support those who are doing exactly that - controlling our lives through government edict.

Excellent rebuttal article.

“Unlike the sin of homosexuality, the other sins you cite – the sins of adultery, fornication, racism, pride, jealousy, selfish ambition and drunkenness – do not have the benefit of a tremendously powerful and prosperous lobby that is blindly supported by people in positions of political influence, and other leftists in media and elsewhere who have been duped by the crafty and disingenuous rhetoric of “tolerance” and “diversity.”

Homosexuality is a disorder, just as is alcoholism, etc. Yet you don’t hear alcoholics screaming to be a special protected class. You don’t have alcoholics lining up in schools teaching children how to drink. You don’t have books for young children advocating the ecstasy of drunkenness.

It’s true. The “love” that dare not speak its name won’t shut up!

My younger brother was gay and died of aids so, I am familiar with the issues and we agree. He always said he was born that way until his death bad when we talked and he told me it was his choice but he also enjoyed the drug scene that was part of it.

I agree with you 100%. I had a friend years ago who said he was gay. He was in spiritual turmoil most of the time. He was a very charismatic person as well, but he knew deep down inside that what he was doing was wrong. He had a close friend who managed a restaurant we would frequent. He called me over one time and sat down with me and told me he didn’t know what to do about his bisexuality. He had a wife and child whom he loved dearly and was scared they would find out. I told him he needed to seek counsel with someone who was qualified to help him. All I could do was tell him to stop doing this, and why. Years later I read in the newspaper he shot himself to death. My heart ached for him and his family. I don’t know what lead him to kill himself. Maybe his wife found out or he contracted aids...I don’t know. All I know is this is the ugly reality of living a lifestyle contrary to God’s purpose, and you’re right, deep, deep down inside they know what they’re doing is wrong. Some are strong enough to overcome those abnormal feelings and others don’t find any way out. Thank God there’s organizations like Exodus International that can help those seeking a way out.

Homosexuals often wonder, “Why is is that we are so reviled and feared? We’re harmless!”

Here’s my take on it...and this is all my own thinking.

I think many gays are feared because of the following scenario: A straight man is walking somewhere, minding his own business, when he is attacked by a homosexual in the throes of his perversion. He sexually assaults the straight man and makes his escape. He is later caught.

The man who was attacked, still trying to deal with the utter shame of what was done to him, goes to court to see justice done. However, gay activist groups and the ACLU come to the attacker’s aid, telling the jury that he couldn’t possibly be convicted, since he was simply following his ‘natural’ urges, and was simply trying to express himself in the only manner he knew how. The jury agrees, and acquits the pervert. Not only that, the man who was attacked develops AIDS, and no justice is done.

Or...let’s say you have a small male child in school. A gay teacher takes the boy aside and “instructs” him in his perversion. The parents find out, but since homosexuality is “the way this man is” and he was “unable to help himself”, nothing is done by the school board, the parents are helpless to see justice done, and the little boy is scarred for life from the disgusting experience.

Many people are frightened of homosexuals since they see that is the way that society is leaning. Unless something is done NOW, it may soon be that these two nightmare scenarios may actually happen in the not-too-distant future.

THAT is why so many are staunchly anti-gay.

I’m not too sure about this, but someone here had the argument that the genes for homosexuality, if they do exist, are propagated because of the taboo that homosexuality was/is, prompting gays to marry women and have children.

This theory could be true, if the current liberalisation of homosexuality since the 60’s has lead to a fall in the per-capita numbers of homosexuals in liberalised societies, but necessitating the subtraction of siblings of homosexuals who may/may not have the genes, and also the taboo associated with coming out of the closet. Thirdly, factor in homosexuals who are aware of their condition, and delibrately desire to propagate their ‘genes,’ thus entering into marriages of convenience with straight people of the opposite sex. Barring all this, homosexuality should have otherwise been wiped out through the generations.

Why does everyone tiptoe around the central issue and ignore the elephant in the closet?

If adultery, fornication, racism, pride, jealousy, selfish ambition and drunkenness, all or any of them, were attempting to "normalize" the pathology, redefine the family, and destroy the cultural foundations of religion, they, too, would get more attention than the necessary criminal systems provides.
