Any list that places Laura Ingraham and Glenn Beck as more influential than Sean Hannity, whose audience on a bad day is a high multiple of theirs, is seriously deficient. Also, Drew Carey and Ron Paul are libertarians, and Rudy Giuliani (numbe one on the list!) and Joe Lieberman are liberals who are realistic on foreign policy matters. The Daily Telegraph is a conservative newspaper in the British context, but this correspondent has something of a tin ear with regard to understanding American conservatism.

Someone once said that America and Britain are two nations divided by a common language. This article supports the truth of that adage.

Well, I hope Laura passes Hannity in ratings soon. She is far better, IMO.

I agree. Archie Bunker said,”England is a fag country.”

Christopher Hitchens and Andrew Sullivan are NOT conservatives.

I like your list better.

Thanks,

But, now I get it.

This appears to be more a list of popular names in the UK, that are identified as American “conservatives”, as opposed to those that conservatives deem influential.

JACK ABRAMOFF

ANDREW SULLIVAN

CHRISTOPHER HITCHENS

Who put together this list?

Obviously a "progressive" writer. I'd suspect Dick Morris or Andrew Sullivan if they weren't on the list themselves. Now who is that demented "gay" fellow who writes out in San Francisco. He seems capable of deep thought like this.

A libertarian is an ultra-conservative.

The presence of so many Fox personalities on this list...well, with the inclusion of Ailes, I count a total of one Fox personality on the list (unless occasional guest commentators like Morris and Gingrich, who also appear in many other outlets, count) - and then there's Hitchens presence with Ann Coulter nowhere to be seen - a strange list to be sure......

The people who put this together are morons.

Dick Morris is not a conservative. Neither is Chrissy Hitchens.
