The GOP needs to renounce its addiction to pork if it wants to get back in the majority, IMHO.

I’m telling you, that’s not what people want. Most people like Uncle Sugar and his handouts. Those that *potentially* do not like this kind of thing, aren’t even paying attention. Of those that *do* pay attention are highly susceptible to the emotional appeals of those on the dole and their agents of spin. Nothing demonstrates this phenomena more than the very arguments that us FReepers get into when the topic comes around to free markets and trade.
