I don’t think this lady is quite up to speed on the concept of a “remembrance day.”

What does she think?

Playing ‘patti-cake’ and sharing your cookies prevent terrorism and war?

Good citizens sleep peacefully because rough men stand ready in the night....

(or something like that).

"I am very much against guns and think they are awful things. Killing in any war is awful and I am against this violence.

Where was this visionary during WWII? Should have just let the Nazis carry on - no sense interrupting those orderly death camps.

Idiot liberals like that woman will get us all killed.

The end of the article notes another stupid ban that riled some Brits. Poppy wreaths were banned from a mountaintop Remembrance Day service (an annual event for almost 90 years), because the local hiking club doesn’t want to clean up the “disintegrated, soggy poppy waste.”

"Killing in any war is awful and I am against this violence."

Well, I suppose so. There are any number of examples of people who deserved killing though.

One story I remember from the History Channel was told by an American fighter pilot from WWII. He was in a battle and noticed that a German pilot was killing American pilots who were parachuting after their planes were damaged. So he got behind this guy and picked at him and picked at him and forced him to bail out. Then he shot him. I thought, good! He deserved it!

If she's not gay, some reporter should ask her if she only
dates men that "shoot blanks".

This woman should be carted. (An Englishman will know the meaning of “carting.”) Actually western civilization is not showing enough violence!

Miss Beach's plea to the council fell on deaf ears.

Ned Heywood, a former mayor, made one of the opposing speeches.

He said: "Miss Beach is a pacifist and felt unhappy about the Rifles marching with guns through the town. But she received absolutely no support.

Damn well right, the silly bitch.

Now if their government and judges would have as much sense.

“Miss Beach, the Labour mayor of Chepstow in Monmouthshire...”

Some of my ancestors left Chepstow for Massachusetts in 1630 - now I’m even more grateful to them.

Your GUNS are 'too violent' for Remembrance Day, mayor tells rifle regiment

Hard to imagine that!

Hmmmhhh, remembering the DI's little ditty: "THIS IS YOUR RIFLE..., THIS IS YOUR GUN..., THIS IS FOR FIGHTING..., THIS IS FOR FUN!

I am certain that political correctness banned such DI training methods many decades ago!

If you don't know what was being demonstrated..., use your imagination!

La Dee Da, wouldn't the world be a better place if everybody was as intelligent as the Mayor.
