I have an even better idea: Vote for a REAL conservative! Vote for Fred Thompson!

Nominating Mitt will guarantee a Hillary Clinton Victory.

Only Rudy can stop her.

Huckabee is a joke, Mitt can’t win.

Vote for Rudy or get used to Hillary.

It’s that simple.

And a vote for Giuliani is avote for Clinton.

Huck being a solid social conservative but fiscal liberal/moderate and conversely Rudy being a social liberal/moderate and a solid fiscal conservative.

Breaking down Conservatism into sub categories is disingenuous. It's tantamount to saying a person can be a Conservative while having some socialist beliefs. The two political ideologies are mutually exclusive. Either a person is a Conservative or is a Socialist. There is no in between. Duncan Hunter has consistently been a true Conservative throughout his political career unlike the so called media labeled "top tier" candidates.

There is a better solution out there:

DUNCAN HUNTER

Experience, rock-solid credentials, no past abortion support, and no flip-flopping.

The answer is clear.

Quit playing these elections as if they are a series of some two bit horse races and we are unemployed hobos munching on cigars and reading the racing forms, discussing handicaps.

1) Study all the candidates.

2) Determine their political philosophy, sources of funding, voting records, and advisors.

3) Find the one WHO MOST CLOSELY REPRESENTS YOUR VIEWPOINT regardless of his standing on the "racing form".

4) Cast your vote accordingly. Your vote shows up in the column of the person you identify with most, whom you want to be President of the United States. It is to be an honest statement to the WORLD (without your name being told) as to your honest opinion, you state a moral truth.

And that should be the END OF IT.

Since recent polling shows just about ANY GOP candidate can beat Hillary, we need to dump these RINOs and nominate a conservative.

This is the only way to secure the conservative base. Romney, Rudy and Huckabee aint got it...McCain is a joke altogether.

Get a conservative candidate or go to the polls without a base.

The message has not changed from day one, it will happen.

Even closer to the truth a vote for Romney is a vote for Hillary.

Why would any social conservative vote for a flaming blue state liberal like Romney. Romney is a strong supporter of abortion on demand as a means of birth control, (He had this seared in his mind when a relative allegedly died of a back alley abortion). He just instituted socialized medicine in Mass, that Hillary has admitted was the inspiration for her own universal health care plan. Romney has also been a big supporter of the homosexual agenda. So why again should any conservative vote for Romney.

At least Rudy doesn’t lie about being a big lib.

Absolutely right. Huckabee has no traction outside Iowa - even if he wins it, he goes no further. Romney MUST win Iowa. If he loses to Huckabee, Giuliani’s Florida firewall will succeed and he becomes, without doubt, the Republican nominee.

OTOH, if Romney wins Iowa, he will inevitably win New Hampshire, Michigan, Nevada (just wait until he places ads and an army of volunteers saturate the state), and South Carolina. This momentum will result in him winning Florida, and then locking up the nomination on Super Tuesday.

So, to all the Huckabee supporters in Iowa, think long and hard about what you’re doing because if you oppose the policies and stance of Rudy Giuliani, a vote for Huckabee GUARANTEES a Giuliani nomination.

It’s coming down that a vote for anyone other than Huckabee will probably be a vote for Romney.
Romney is the most liberal, least qualified one to be the Rep nominee.
Romney is the one that we need keep from the nomination.

IMHO, we can't run a flip-flopper like Romney after we used this as one of the main objections against Kerry. Also, Romney is obviously not seriously pro-life.

Romney, like Hillary, seems to be more a vote to continue the status quo.

Talk about whistling past the graveyard.

Having failed with millions of dollars in TV ads in Iowa to hold off a comparatively penniless Huckabee, the Romney apologists must now resort to claiming that the guy they can’t beat in Iowa can’t possibly win anywhere else.

As I recall, they were saying several months ago that Huck couldn’t win in Iowa.

Given that Zogby now places Huckabee third nationally, ahead of Romney, with the biggest margin of victory over Hillary of any GOP candidate in a November 2008 general election matchup, I think I won’t put too much faith in Dr. Fuller’s premature report of Gov. Huckabee’s demise.
