"Single", to my mind, means eligible for marriage. In places and times where a divorcée is not allowed to remarry, such a person is not single; where and when remarriage is allowed, the person is.
Nope, not in the “old days” (which wasn’t that long ago). It’s only the last 15 maybe 20 years everyone is abusing the meaning.
Jeanne Lenore Assam is from a small town in South Dakota called Brandon Valley.. this is where she attended high school... Brand Valley High... the web page is www.bvhs84.org. She was very well liked there.. and extremely athletic.. I remember she used to like to wear Jordache clothing and she has a twin sister Jennifer who still lives back there.
Funny how the nearest ‘big’ town will claim someone who does well...or was it just the journalist who couldn’t find the smaller town on their pocket road atlas?
