I have a much greater interest in someone, because of their religion, wanting to cut my head off? Actually, one's destination in the afterlife is infinitely more enduring than the experience (if unpleasant) of head amputation. Therefore, what one says and believes and does during the physical life is of great interest even if they don't make dramatic threats.
