It has been my unwavering experience that anytime you see a “Think Globally, Act Locally” bumper sticker, the owner is unequivocally a lefty.

Which one would get to be on top? LOL!

The very definition of a three-bagger, for sure!

With the GOP about to nominate a simpleton preacher, the Rats about to nominate either an inexperienced henpecked, p***y-whipped naive ideologue or a shrill harpy from hell, one more ring in the circus seems about par for the course.

Frankly, with the economic problems that are about to visit this country, I'm not sure any sane person would really want to be President.

Shouldn’t this disqualify him from being allowed to appear at the GOP debates? He doesn’t deserve official sanction as a Republican if he is going to run against the party.

No escape, no mercy for anyone abetting the election of the USA’s enemies, the Democrats, in 2008. 2008.. seven years after 9/11.

No excuse is sufficient, no ego driven principle enough.

The die will be cast.

small correction...

Texas Rep. Ron Paul refused to rule out a third party bid Sunday when he fails to win the Republican Party presidential nomination.

I just realized I can't quote some of those lines on this family website, so we'll just have to settle for this picture of Miss Lauren Graham. :-)

I can’t believe he (Paul) would take any Republicans with him. Especially when there are so many fine, true, conservative, smaller government, less taxes, return education to local control, second amendment supporting and border securing Republicans that might get the nomination. No. Not with Rudy, Mitt, or Mike to vote for.

Is it Paul/Kucinich, or the other way around?

I knew it. This kook can Perot enough votes to make another Clinton victory with less than 49% of the votes, for the 3rd time.

I wish the democrats were half as dumb as we are when it comes to elections, we would landslide the victories.

I can’t believe he (Paul) would take any Republicans with him.

Probably not a large number overall. But the main thing to watch is not just the overall % Republican numbers for him but the % Republican voters for Paul in certain swing states - Ohio, Florida, etc. So, yes, this bozo could hurt us in a close contest.

I agree. I live in Jacksonville, NC, home of Camp Lejeune MCB. Our community is very supportive of the military and their mission. Despite Ron Paul’s absolutely irresponsible position on the issue of Iraq and the WOT, there is a very loyal group of Ron Paul supporters in the area. Although I will be eternally grateful to Ralph Nadar for helping elect GWB, IMO most third party candidates are basically egomaniacs who put their own selfish ambitions over what is best for the country.

I think you have pegged it. The Democrats are half as dumb as we are. That is why the now hold the Congress. They are true to their causes. We Republicans have not done the same and as a result a lot of folks have left us. Don’t know where they are going or have gone but, they have. I know a lot of people are going to disagree but, I see the Republican party doing the same as the Dems did back in sixties when they lost a lot of conservative voters, as the party moved more and more to the left.
