Romney is so slick , he makes Klinton unpolished ... a once impossible feat .

I fell for it for a short time and i’m sure that some of that 13% are falling for it too ....

I just simply looked at his Youtube record and knew he was a flip-flopping phony ...

I'm taking bets on how many posts we'll have here before the Big Announcement is actually made!

(The crowd is getting restless here on the field, Al, fights are breaking out between the humourless, and the jokesters, as well as between the humourless and the supporters of the other team. Back to you, Al.)

B Clinton was not good looking without power. If he were the average loser, he would never see the action he gets now.

Women can overlook physical flaws. Men tend to not do that.

Example, I think Samuel Alito and John Roberts are very attractive. Part of their attractiveness is their intelligence.
Brad Pitt does nothing for me, his skull is empty.

My opnion is that Mike Huckabee may be “good on guns”, but he isn’t good on everything else. Fred is! And Fred’s idea of gun control in his own words: “My idea of gun control is a good, steady aim.” Fred is the all round REAL conservative among the top five candidates. Lets see what happens on January 3rd before we talk about who has a chance of winning the nomination. This primary is still wide open and will be for some time. GO FRED! :) Happy New Year!

I consider myself a FReeper, not a Free Republican. As far as that goes, a Republican I am not. I have voted Independent, and....ugh DemoRAT over my 35 years of voting eligibility.
I vote middle of the road for who I like best on ALL issues. Don’t put me in the category of a one sided, one issue voter. As for the rest of us Freepers, I think they will sound off in support of a candudate first, long before supporting a political party.
How about it Freepers? Sound off!

For all who claim Fred hasn't been out campaigning or "has no fire in the belly", I challenge you to join the Fred Thommpson list so you can keep abreast of what Fred is doing. You should know by now you can't rely on ABC/CNN/CBS/NBC/FOX News to tell the truth.

Let me or Politicalmom know if you'd like to join the list.

Have you heard him? Have you seen him? I'm in Iowa and have seen Fred close up twice. The guy has plenty of fire and the people love him for being the 'consistent conservative.' He doesn't have his finger in the air to determine which way he should go - you don't have to guess which way Fred is going today or tomorrow because you know he's going the conservative way.

I'm standing up for Fred at the Caucus.

FR is comprised mostly of staunch conservatives, as opposed to those who have more moderate or liberal leanings, but still vote Republican.

True. My opinion, however, is that it's the "Staunch conservative" base that's going to be voting in the primaries. The looky-loos will be sitting at home playing with their Christmas toys.

For the big national elections, I think that you're 100% spot on, though.

For the last primary, Mrs. Wbill and I consisted of 22% (2 of 9 voters, out of 100s) of the vote at our local precinct. Granted, it was a local election and not a national one - but still, turnout will be low.

“It is sad that the bashing of Fred’s appearance goes on and on, like appearance dictates a leader.”

Not really surprising. I have noticed Mitt Romney’s core, active, support has a disproportionate number of: (A) women who think he’s pretty and (B) bigoted mormons who support Romney only because he is also Mormon (ironic, as they cry bigotry when Romney’s liberalism is exposed — they wouldn’t have looked at Romney twice if he was from a traditional Christian demoniation).

There are obvious exceptions.

Anyway, to get back to the point, it does not surprise me that a candidate that gets disproportionate support from people because he is pretty would focus on other candidate’s appearance as important.
