Rumor circulating on the Fred08 blog that there is going to be a major "surprise" announcement coming this morning.

Perhaps an NRA endorsement or a major political figure?

Agreement to drop out in exchange for becoming McCain’s running mate. (Just a guess.)

Fred’s going to drop out is my guess. He’s at (or below) Ron Paul territory in most every major poll.

Its not a matter of me “wishing” or not, its just that I can see it happening, as a way to stir up excitement (which it certainly would).

I love Fred but he looks just like a Basset hound about ready to puke all the time

Go Fred Go

I expect it is a big-time endorsement. Fred needs to kick-off the post-Christmas campaign swing. As much as Huckabee would like it, nobody is going to be taking time off from campaigning between now and Epiphany.

I don’t see Fred dropping out before Iowa since he’s making a big push there.

Fred needs to get out there and be more visible. Without some kind of major publicity, the polls are not in his favor. Although do we really believe the polls? We shouldn’t.

Daily polling is just a tool for manipulation of public opinion. Go Fred!

Man, I hope so. Then we won’t have to hear the anti-Mittbotts slamming Romney under the false illusion that damaging Mitt will somehow miraculously propel Fred to the top of the race.

I like Fred, but his campaign is a lost cause. He has no fire left.

It would be good to winnow the field a bit before the primaries. Make the voters choose between the most viable candidates.

I wonder who would get Fred’s supporters if he did drop out? I would guess Huckabee and Romney would get the most.

Paul don’t have a chance. he is a wacko.
Polls are only as good as the way the questions are directed. Paul is a dingbat.
Go Fred!

I do think it might be an endorsement from the NRA. That would make sense as he is the most conservative candidate who has a great chance of winning the nomination. GO FRED!
