Kristol a conservative?
That’s debatable.
What in comparison to say the Marxist Clintons? Or compared to Ronald Maximus?

Rosenthal told Politico shortly after the official announcement Saturday that he fails to understand this weird fear of opposing views.Uh, welcome to your liberal Democrat world, Andy. Now grow some stones and hire Ann Coulter.

New York Times trying to boost readership, no doubt!

Just one more forum for Kristol to rant about “yahoos” and “nativists” who can’t support the illegal alien invaders that clean his mansion and mow his grass.

I’m not really sure if there are many conservatives subscribing to NYT simply because Kristol column appears there. If they also hire other authors, like Ann Coulter, Victor Davis Hanson, and so on (all of them, not one or two), then perhaps it will make a difference.

Kristol is a great guy IMHO, but he’s sleeping with the enemy here.

Memo to: Rosenthal
Hire Mark Steyn and watch your commie/lib reader's heads REALLY explode. I might even buy your rag a couple of times a month.

Unlike The Times’ stable of bi-weekly columnists—including Maureen Dowd and fellow Standard alum David Brooks—Kristol will write only once a week,...Duh. So Maureen writes a column once every two weeks, but Kristol writes only once a week?
I hope they don't use bi-sweet chocolate chips in their cookies.

The idea that The New York Times is giving voice to a guy who is a serious, respected conservative intellectualand somehow thats a bad thing, Rosenthal added. How intolerant is that? Funny how Liberalism has come to stand for Intolerance, especially of opposing views--in the media, on the campus, on high-profile scientific questions.

The idea that The New York Times is giving voice to a guy who is a serious, respected conservative intellectualand somehow thats a bad thing, Rosenthal added. How intolerant is that? The NY Times has pandered to the liberals for decades ... the vast majority of their paid subscribers make up, or, are on the fringe of the loony left. Rosenthal insisting that the 'old gray hoar' needs a conservative voice in the editorial pages is sure to have these self described progressive and tolerant libs gnashing their teeth in frustration.

Who needs to subscribe to the NY Times when they can get all the opinion columns off the internet? I get Ann Coulter, Larry Elder, and Thomas Sowell in my local paper, so there’s even less reason to subsidize the Grey Lady of Lies.

Rosenthal told Politico shortly after the official announcement Saturday that he fails to understand this weird fear of opposing views. That is the way the left has always been. I would be afraid too if my ideas were so weak they could not stand up to scrutiny.

I will be curious to see if Kristol’s columns tend to favor McCain, the candidate that the media would like to see run against Mrs. Clinton.
