McCain is viewed favorably by 66% of Republican voters nationwide...

Personally, I find it very difficult to believe that this number is accurate.

I am outraged! Outraged I say, that McCain shafted Constitutionalist judicial nominees, and then tried to push amnesty on us, and then ... hey, is that a football game on? I hope American Idol doesn’t get pre-empted. What were we talking about again?

His resume looks good in comparison to everyone else’s resume, to voters, which is a commentary on the other candidates as much as on McCain. There’s also a “McCain can beat Hillary” school of thought bubbling right now.

The dude from "Memento" has a longer memory than the geniuses in this polling group....

I have said it for a while now... McCain’s the dark horse in this race... if the top tier falter, he’s going to be the one to benefit... keep an eye on him.

I am definitely in the 47% per cent category.

I will write in Duncan Hunter rather than vote for McPain.

I respect John because of his military service but why would anybody in their right mind want to get into poliics. The reward for the brightest and best minds in this country running for office to try to make America better would be to have your whole life, family, and future ripped apart and destroyed like you were some kind of mass murderer or child molestor. This is how sick politics and it particular “the two party system has become”. We have had two corrupt families (Clintons & Bushes) running this corrupt country (and our lives) for the last 25 years. I dont know about you but I’ve had enough of all of them.

Exactly. The Drive-Bys wanted Huckabee, because he would be an easy win for Hillary. However, he proved too dumb for even them. So it’s back to McCain, whom they probably think would be a Bob Dole to Hillary’s Bill Clinton.

They will work overtime to shove McCain down our throats. Their goal is to have McCain go against Hillary in the general election. Once McCain is nominated, his breathless admirers in the MSM will (on cue) turn on him like rabid dogs. They will show him no mercy as they bring out the Keating Five, his temper, his age, his philandering & divorce, and even the “confession” he signed (after being tortured) as a POW.

Does McCain have a compelling story? Yes, he does. It was heroic of him to refuse release as a POW until all were released. However, that by itself is not a reason to nominate him. His grandfather and father were both Admirals—even with that pedigree and his POW experiences, he still did not make flag rank. I’m sure the Navy had its reasons and they WILL come out. He is a flawed candidate with a lot of problems.

McCain is great, so long as you don’t care for the First Amendment (CFR), nor the Second Amendment (Gun show “loophole” bill), nor American sovreignty (Shamnesty), nor a host of other things. But, other than that, he’s just great.
