I agree that McCain is done no matter what. That’s why I want him to win. No harm done and he can serve a good purpose by taking down Romney a notch or two.

I’m curious, why do you want Hillary and McCain to win in NH?

Maybe The Ghost of FReepers Past has a lot of popcorn that needs eatin'.

I think we’re about to hear from it.

Some NH precincts are open until 8pm.

-there was NO way McCain would quit before this “win”.......he will follow the pattern from the last election.....after all, what has changed? he lead the shamnesty till real Americans revolted. he has no real hope.

-we haven’t hit any of the states that count yet. patience is a virtue

You probably will. It worked for her yesterday.

Update.. Chester (smaller town) has similar results - Clinton slightly ahead. 25% of Manchester reported.. Clinton has significant lead there and Mitt is within three points of McCain. No telling which Wards have reported, though. I would expect a significant variation between these. More to come...

The early closing polling stations are all in small hamlets across New Hampshire. People always jump to wrong conclusions with these hour-early closings in NH. The key to victory for ANY candidate in NH is in four cities:

Manchester

Nashua

Concord

Rochester

ALL of the polling stations in these cities close at 8PM ET.

McCain might be done, but Romney will be wounded. Rudy and Huck are still around too. You can’t tell me anyone in Mitt’s campaing thought he would lose IA, NH (probably) and possibly MI.

Thanks. Did you create that Delegate count or is it pulled from the web? It a good idea and incredibly useful for separating the facts from the various campaign spin. Is there one for Democrats?

The data is from CNN. And it includes both Dems (upper section) and Pubbies (lower section).

I wouldn’t vote for McCain if Reagan rose from the dead to endorse him.

2000 was a long time ago and a MUCH different McCain than we’ve seen since. I wouldn’t expect the raving MittWits to be able to tell the difference though, so please carry on.

“it is really hard to believe that was fueled by a countersurge for Hilary”

Is it??
These are Shadow Party DEMOCRATS...
Nothing says those “rushed” ballots were connected to any LIVE voters.

Only if you want to be disingenuous about it.

There is nothing disingenuous about it. I want them both to win NH. I want that to be it for McCain, but I would like to see Hillary go on to get her party's nomination.

What I’ve found striking about the early returns is the number of democrat’s votes vs republicans. 2 to 1 dems. IMHO, Fred didn’t need to waste his time in this state.

We have way too many people that are in love with their precise requirements for a candidate. Fred is way better than McCain, but McCain is pro life and pro strong national defense. Those are two very big biggies.

I was listening to Dennis Prager (who I respect) yesterday and get a load of this. First, he dumped on McCain and said it might be better to elect Obama over McCain because he’d rather have an open liberal than a republican one.

BUT then he read a Giuliani statement and he said Guiliani’s positions are such perfect conservative principles that it brought tears to his eyes and we need Guiliani.

That’s how crazy it gets.

“10% of the votes in and Hill is ahead. Looks like it may not be the smearout we hoped for.”

Let’s hope not... If Obama wins the nomination, it doesn’t even matter who wins the Republican nomination. Don’t believe me? Check out the updating headline at Drudge - the only candidates listed are Clinton and Obama. The Republicans are relevant only if Clinton is the nominee.

You do realize the Fred is a good friend of John’s and will probably end up endorsing him?
