Huck helped himself some today. He is for repealing automatic citizenship for children of Illegals born in America. That’s good thinking.

Sorry, but it was a false story:

Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee Statement on Constitutional Amendment
Regarding Citizenship Birthright

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Jan. 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Former Arkansas Governor
and Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee has issued the following comment in
response to a Washington Times article reporting he would amend the
Constitution in connection to children born in the U.S. to illegal aliens:

“I do not support an amendment to the Constitution that would prevent children
born in the U.S. to illegal aliens from automatically becoming American
citizens. I have no intention of supporting a constitutional amendment to
deny birthright citizenship.”

Paid for by Huckabee for President, Inc.

Well, I missed that. IT makes no difference to my opinion of him. I have no reason to believe he means it. But it will probably make a difference in his polling numbers. People are not very bright. So your numbers may be better than mine.
