Kaelin Weber said he didn't have much time to react Christmas morning when a masked robber walked in, showed a knife and jumped the counter of an Ingram convenience store.

"I only tried to feed my family and I got shot in my back," Davis said as police led him back to jail in handcuffs. Weber, who was cut during the robbery, was not charged.

Like the fact Weber had the sense to go back into the store and get another clip for his weapon.

Watch out Weber, you will be on the Jackson/Sharpton hit list.

"I tried to shoot him again because he was still moving,"

"I called police and then went back in the store to put a new magazine in my gun."

I wonder if we can run Weber for President?

Tough luck. Next time, try working for a living.

I think it was a really bad idea for the paper to publish the fact that the clerk lost his gun license for another incident that happened.

If I were in his place, I'd either change my workplace or make sure my employer left a weapon handy!

My fear is that the clerk, Weber, could have been killed. SInce this hit the news, I bet a lot of our wonderful liberals will be lining up to defend Davis and go after Weber.

They will make Davis the victim and try to get Weber on other charges.

Yes it got thrown out, but external pressure on the DA from sources like Jackson/Sharpton can possibly reopen the case.

I was only trying to feed my family will play well with the liberal world.

Good luck to Weber. Hopefully it just goes away.

Some training is required here...

"I called police and then went back in the store to put a new magazine in my gun."

Reload first, then call 911.

Agree. Jennings, La is a great example. The criminals became the innocent victims.

Knowing newspapers, I’m certain that they thought it was a good idea....

Great perp quote.

Fun facts:

(1) Unemployment is practically at an all-time low.

(2) It is physically impossible to starve to death by accident in the USA.

(3) There are plenty of municipal and private food pantries and soup kitchens in Western PA.

“Knowing newspapers, I’m certain that they thought it was a good idea....”

This is the Trib review, the conservative rag in Pittsburgh. It is owned by Richard Mellon Scaithe, a big time conservative who used to bankroll Christopher Ruddy (now owner of Newsmax) for his various investigations into the Clintonistas. Could you not tell it is a conservative rag by the way? They just did reporting, no opinion in the article about evil guns

General Comment- Weber lost his CCW permit, not his “have/carry a gun at work right” under PA law. Employers can provide a firearm or let employees carry/have access to firearms onthier premises in most states.

Okay, he cannot legally carry out on the street, so he needs to be careful, have a CCW buddy pick him up for work etc.

Perhaps a little too close to the initial incident to be back at work-only about 2 weeks, probably needs some down time with close friends and his pastor/priest to clear his mind. Soldiers in combat have to saddle back up usually w/in the next 24-48 hours, but the support net is great.

God Bless

>> Police said Weber pulled a gun on a customer at the store during an argument over change for cigarettes. <<

Word to the wise: Mr. Pistol should not expose himself during arguments over change for smokes. He should only come out when he is used to stop the threat of death, disfigurement or serious bodily injury to you or your loved ones.

I agree with you on Mr Pistols appearances but “change for cigarettes” can be a serious dispute in some retail situations, like where a customer gives a ten or twenty dollar bill but claims that they gave you a fifty or hundred. They’ll try to intimidate the cashier to give them what they want, or they try to get them to reopen the cash register to rob it. A lot of it depends on the neighborhood you’re in.

Agreed, but “reckless endangerment” or “brandishing”, even “imprinting” (the outline of the gun seen on your clothing) are serious charges, and can get your CCW taken away in a flash. It’s not worth loosing your right to carry.

Cashiers who use proper procedures (like if they take a $20 and give change for a pack of gum) can avoid most problems. This is done by not putting the $20 in the drawer until the transaction is completed. That’s what the little table on top of the cash drawer is for. If there are disputes and physical or verbal threats after that, it’s called “robbery”. And in the case of “robbery”, you’d better to be able to make a “I was in fear of my life” case if the gun comes out. And YOU better be the first one who calls the po-lice!
