Just days after announcing his campaign was literally moving to South Carolina, Fred Thompson is enjoying a remarkable spike in support across the state and from donors around the country. "From contributors on the internet, to voters packing his South Carolina events, even to pundits praising his debate performance, Fred Thompson is on a roll. We see the fight in South Carolina as critical. And we see Fred in fine fighting form,” declared campaign manager Bill Lacy. Key Stats and Information: The campaign has raised more than $300,000 online just since Fred’s dominating debate performance on Thursday night. Fifty-six percent of all online donors since Thursday night are first-time contributors. We have had 14,296 contributions since the Iowa Caucus with an average contribution of $98.

“Hilton Head is Ohio and NY moved south. Sometimes their intelligence improves with the temp. but sadly chemicals from the golf course counteracts this effect”

If SC voters want to roll over like Webb Hubbell for the carpetbaggers that have moved in to their state, what can I say.

Something tells me they are not going to roll over for the carpetbaggers. And know or by election day will know what MUST be done.

Re: Your comment to CharlesWayneCT:

You just show an unbelievable attempt to upset other posters on FR. Are you trying to get your remarks reported on other sites as the feelings of all FR?

Pretty astute there. It's more more charitable than my assessment, though. I just figured he was a jerk. We're probably both right.

Go ahead. The term "vigorish", commonly shortened to "vig", refers to the casino's expected winnings in its games. If one places $1 on "red" at an American roulette table, one will be paying the house about $0.053 for the privilege of placing what would otherwise be an even-money wager.

...at least so long as Fred isn’t interested in getting his family into God’s house.

I'm sorry, but that is just an ignorant statement.

First off, do you have a pipeline into G-d's thinking regarding Fred Thompson? I don't pretend to, but I think that He probably cares more about how a person acts for the rest of the week, than where he or she spends and hour or two on one day of the week. There are plenty of outwardly religious people who will turn around and gossip about others, conspire to steal their money, sleep with their wives or underage daughters (or sons), etc. In other words, simply going to church (or any other house of worship) is no guarantee that a person is good - nor is failing to go to a house of worship on a regular basis a guarantee that a person is bad

BTW, isn't G-d EVERYWHERE? Why does one have to go to "His house" to communicate with Him? Do prayers uttered outside of "His house" somehow or other fail to reach Him? Does He only hear prayers, or note good (and bad) deeds on a special frequency that is broadcast only from "His house?" Come on, you CAN'T think that the Creator is that limited, can you?

Second, Ronald Reagan barely went to church, and he got elected by quite large margins on two separate occasions- and the first one against a guy who wore his religiosity not merely on his sleeve, but also on his tie, jacket, pants, shoes, dog, etc. In other words, attendance at church doesn't seem terribly relevant to getting elected.

Third, I guess that you're a Huckabee supporter. If so, fine, that's your right and privilege. But consider that we are electing the President of the United States, not the next religious or moral leader of the country. Huckabee, for all of his connection to the Almighty (and I have questions about THAT, let me tell you), has NO experience in foreign affairs - and it shows every time he opens his mouth about it. He is also quite the nanny-stater type - he raised taxes all over the place while AR governor, favors a national ban on smoking (for our own good, don't you know?), and backed programs to send illegal aliens to college at taxpayer expense. THIS is who you want in the White House? REALLY?

To paraphrase Winston Churchill: Fred Thompson is the worst person to be in the White House next January 20 - except for all the rest.

“I don’t think God really is interested in getting Fred into the white house, at least so long as Fred isn’t interested in getting his family into God’s house.”

I guess that you believe the only place one finds God is in a particular church or house of worship. My sweetheart and I can take a walk in the woods, and guess what, we are in God’s house. God is everywhere. We can be in our garden among the tomato and cabbage plants where one of God’s miracles made the seeds we planted spring to life. And every time we look into a child’s face, need I say more?

In Atlantic City, if the ball lands in the 0 or 00, the house only takes half of an outside bet, lowering the vig to about .26.
