I’m not so sure. And I don’t believe in a ‘social conservative’. To me, social conservative is a fancy name for a liberal, or maybe a RINO.

I think that a lot of Fred’s votes are going to Romney. Fred had a lot of true Regan-conservatives on his bill. They are naturally going to look to the second most-conservative candidate. And if you truly are a conservative, you recognize the fact that Huckleberry is dressed in sheepskins.

Democratic strategist John Lappdog said, "On first blush, it would seem that (Mike) Huckabee is the main beneficiary of Fred Thompson's withdrawal

Nope. Whoever Fred decides to run with as their VP candidate is the one that benefits the most.

I don’t think so. Given any sort of choice, I wouldn’t vote for Huckabee for President.

Maybe Fred hasn’t endorsed McCain because he is open to being VP under Rommney? No que no?

I don’t think many Fred votes will go to Huckabee; I know mine won’t. Tonight I got my first ever push-poll (anti-Romney, pro-Huck), and it was the most disgusting thing I’ve listened to in a long time. I hope the pollster’s ears are still burning from my somewhat restrained discussion of the character and ancestry of anyone who would impugn a candidate like that. Only made me lean toward Mitt, tho if there’s a write-in space on my ballot, it goes for Fred anyway.....I still haven’t made up my mind, other than against another dirty, lying ex-governor from Arkansas (slimier than the last one).

none of that stuff means anything anymore.

Mexican elites are seriously thinking about what it takes to be a first class country. McCain’s idea is to send back two million criminal aliens. Criminals won’t do the mexicans a lick of good. It would be better to send back 12 million now well trained workers & professionals. This would create some hardship on both sides of the border —but it would be beneficial ultimately to both the USA & Mexico.
