Actor who played oldest son in The Patriot, one of the guys in Brokeback Mountain, and was to play the Joker in the new Batman movie.

I was really looking forward to seeing him in that role. Very sad...

YouTube Video "Coming Undone" with various clips of the new Batman movie with Heath Ledger as the Joker and other concept art.

This video stuck with me because some of the "Joker" concept art was so surrealistically evil. Some of the clips between :58 and 1:15 are very cool.
