Right mine is an adult conclusion, whereas Pauls is a childish delusion that if we just play nice and leave everyone alone they will return the favor. A true foreign policy genius /s.

Mitt Romney

You don't have to understand economics to be a successful businessman and vice versa.

you are right. me too. Doing well, these days.

There are some fundamental things wrong with our economy that hurt us in the long term, but nothing that hasn’t been happening for decades.

Tell that to the Swiss.

I don’t trust ANY politician to “fix” the economy.

Did you notice the comment that said they wanted Paul because he would leave the economy alone? LOL, his whole economic platform is to dismantle the current system and recreate it. I guess he really has become all things to all people. Reminds me of several threads on the paul forums where they show how to spin his policies so everyone likes it.. In one they make him look pro life but they show how you can spin what he says to pro choice folks so he sounds like he would be ‘hands off’ their choice..

Don’t forget more jobs for social workers. After all, it’s certain that women and minorities will be hardest hit.

Tell that to the Swiss.

Thank you, this is very enlightening. I now know the high-standard(sic) we are shooting for. Wow, if only we could be as great as Switzerland... //sarc

Newt Gingrich ... is the best idea man today and he is an conservative. He is a great communicator and is a excellent teacher.

Newt for a major cabinet appointment.

The Republican which can get elected.

Polls indicate McCain has the best chance of defeating a democrat.

OTOH Romney and Giuliana appear to me to have the best grasp of and commitment to free market economics.

Your mileage may vary. “Fixing the economy” may mean many different things, to different interests.

I was in a meeting this morning in Calif. with professionals dealing with marketing pre-foreclosure (short sale) and lender owned real estate (REO).

They said the measures currently being discussed in Washington will make matters WORSE.

So perhaps the BEST fix is for government to do NOTHING. Many longtime conservatives would argue that is the most purely conservative approach to the issue.

Did you have a bad experience in Switzerland?

Why would anybody bother with the Swiss?(except the Nazis of course) A better example would be to ask the U.S. about the Japanese circa 1941.

Warren Buffet and George Soros are also very wealthy from working in the economy. I don't want either in charge of our economic policy, though.

People who are good at making money for themselves sometimes have some kooky ideas when it comes to other peoples' money. I'm not saying Romney's like them, but I've heard some things out of his campaign that make me wonder about the soundness of his economic policy.

“I don’t trust Republicans to fix the economy.

I trust conservatives to fix it, these days there is a difference between the two”

So which non-Republican conservative REALISTICALLY will be elected?

They have nothing, they are nothing. Last time I looked the world isn’t turning to the Swiss for leadership. That’s my point.

I would trust the man who’s worth $250 million dollars as a result of actually working in that economy.

I don't know, President Bush is pretty wealthy himself. And any President has to work with Congress and the Federal Reserve, so he can't do it alone.
