Love your tagline!

I’ve been a MittWit since the early summer. I always said it was better than being an AntiMittNitWit:)

There is one exception, however, to Godwin’s law- when Hitler or Nazis are the actual subject of the conversation. When discussing Switzerland’s history, that cannot be overlooked. Godwin’s law is not meant to erase that episode of history, it is meant to stop a discourse from going off topic by applying false strawmen.

A better question would be which one I trust to leave the economy alone!

False premise. If you believe that the economy can be “fixed” by outside forces (especially originating in the government) then you are already disqualified as a fiscal conservative.

Amen. I was hoping for a "None of the above" choice so I didn't vote.

It’s pointless to argue that any nation or any person for that matter is perfect. I think we’d agree that this is the liberal’s territory for they tend to believe in ‘the perfectibility of man and the illimitable progress of society’ (Kirk, The Conservative Mind). So I’ll admit Switzerland is not perfect. And of course, neither is our country. I guess one area that we disagree is the importance of ‘national greatness’. I’d rather have less national greatness and more personal greatness.

" John McCain, who happily volunteers he doesn't know much about economics..."

"The issue of economics is not something I've understood as well as I should," McCain said. "I've got Greenspan's book."

Think big picture and long term. The US has too much public and private debt and too many unfunded entitlement bubbles on the horizon.

Not debating their perfection, but rather the result of non-interventionist policy. I.M.O. it is our National greatness that allows for personal greatness.

“The issue of economics is not something I’ve understood as well as I should,” McCain said. “I’ve got Greenspan’s book.”

Your McCain quote is excellent and should be the definitive aanswer to this thread. What more do we need to know about McCain and the economy? Nothing. He would be a disaster.
