Breaking ABC News-How Much Did an Accused Political Fixer Raise for Obama? (Clintons go nuclear!)

ABCNews.com Review Shows an Additional $100,000 in Rezko-Linked Contributions Not Returned by the Campaign

Months after reporters started asking Sen. Barack Obama to account for contributions raised by longtime friend and donor Antoin "Tony" Rezko, questions remain about the full extent of the accused Illinois political fixer's role as a patron of Obama's political career.

"We have returned any money that we know was associated to Mr. Rezko," Obama told Diane Sawyer on Wednesday morning during an appearance on "Good Morning America." "That is something that if there's additional information we don't know about, we'd be happy to return the money."

The Obama campaign says it has given away more than $85,000 in Rezko-linked contributions since Rezko was indicted on federal fraud and extortion charges in the fall of 2006.

An ABCNews.com review, however, has identified an additional $100,000 in contributions made to Obama from Rezko's associates that have not been returned, including $19,500 in contributions from Rezko's wife and employees of Rezko's business enterprises. The ABCNews.com review includes individuals who have been linked to Rezko in news reports, court documents and public records.

Other news organizations have reviewed Obama's campaign finance records and have also found Rezko-linked contributions that are more than double what the campaign has publicly acknowledged. The Chicago Sun-Times, which published its review last June, found that "Obama has collected at least $168,308 from Rezko and his circle," and earlier this week the Los Angeles Times reported that it had found that Rezko and his associates had given "Obama more than $200,000 in donations since 1995."

What about Hillary and Norman Hsu? Whatever happened to that story?

MSM has buried it.

Hellary will never pick Obama as VP since she doesnt think a ticket that has a black and a woman can win. Besides she is almost guaranteed 95% of the black vote without Obama.

Don't be too sure. If she savages Obama in ways that piss off the Black community, they might stay home. Having Obama on the ticket would be a way to mend fences

Then again a Clinton/Hussein ticket would motivate Republicans to get to the polls to vote against them

The money Obama got from his slum lord buddy is peanuts compared the money the Clintons have gotten from the Communist Chinese.

sometimes what people are shows in their faces. This is the case with Brian Ross. Look at the guy. He makes a gargoyle look warm and fuzzy. He’s always been someone not to be believed.

There is an opening here if the GOP has the foresight and chutzpah. The Clintons are playing with fire. Yes, there is short term gain for them in attacking Obama in false and personal terms. Now that they have made race THE issue, if she is the nominee the GOP candidate can campaign in black communities and offer a credible alternative. The argument would be that the Democrats promised you the moon for 45 years, delivered on little or nothing, and the first time a black candidate emerged as a potential president the white Democratic establishment destroyed him. It wasn;t enough to defeat himl; they had to destroy him. And they will do the same to you. Nothing has changed. Wanna force change? Point to Connie Rice and Colin Poewll as examples of black Americans the GOP appoints to critical positions; the GOP wants to control illegal immigration to prevent illegals form undercutting your jobs. Make them work for your vote.

We do not need to make great inroads in terms of the percentage but plant the seeds of doubt. Right now, the Democratic party is reliant upon heavy black turnout that goes their way by 90%. If that changes, the Democratic party collapses. (Like all things CLinton, they will reap short term benefits for themselves while leaving their party much, much weaker).

The Fox All-Stars were talking about this photo tonight (on the Brit Hume show without Brit Hume, since it’s a Friday). Charles Krauthammer opined that if Barack was behind releasing this photo, it was a mistake, since it just keeps the Rezko story in the news, which hurts him.

I bet it was Rezko himself, p-d at the Clintons. Who else would have such a photo and know exactly where to find it?

I heard that segment and had to laugh. THese folks have been in Washington way too long. This “it keeps it alive” business is inside baseball at its worst. The truth is that normal people will look at it, roll their eyes because it is completely consistent with every other Clinton hypcrisy. After all the fundraising scandals, the first thought to pop into people’s heads is that Rezko paid good money for that photo. And that will be the end of that issue. Let her keep going after Obama on the issue. Just makes the both of them look bad.

If Obama had a pair, when she mentions Resko, he could graciously say that he will not bring up all her law partners and fundraiser who ended up in prison.

Just think what photos, audios, videos, documents, records, hidden offshore accounts are out there that will never be exposed!

Slick Willie attacks the blacks and the MSM applauds him!

Obama was truthful. He returned the money from Rezko, just not all the money from Rezko’s wife and associates.

For a Democrat, that’s ethical.

Since I seldom watch TV I never heard any feedback on his falling asleep at the MLK thing. Did you hear any complaints about that?

The Clintons and their ‘shadow government’ is a scary thing. They can do anything and get away with it. Obama needs to be very careful.

I never have watched her but Opera must have shut her mouth. I read she got a lot of flack from women.

The idea of women supporting someone like Hillary just because she is a woman [dubious sometimes] is beyond me!

“Beat me to it, Dilbert. Why doesn’t Obama mention Hsu. That was hundreds of thousands more.

I know why ABC will not follow the Hsu trail, but why Obama’s silence?”

Obama got money from Hsu also. Why would he want to bring that up, when the media already painted it on Hillary?

She stands to lose a hell of a lot of black votes and that is 13% of the population thanks to Abe Lincoln.

WTF! Now I'm about as anti-PC as can be but that's straight-up racist and a serious diss on a great President. Good-luck trying to explain what that means. Wow!
