McCain is the beat-Hillary candidate. This shift to the left is only temporary. McCain’s candidacy will provide safe-haven for lefties who can’t stand Hillary. No need for a new party. The RNC will be conservative again in 2010, midterm.

“McCain is the beat-Hillary candidate.”

No, he’s not. He’s the one that will make the most conservatives stay home. Remember 2006!

This shift to the left is only temporary.

Temporary...like the phone tax to fund the Spanish-American War that was later increased before finally being ended in 2006, after 108 years.

The Republican establishment is almost as corrupt, morally bankrupt, and anti-American as the Democrat establishment. The only real difference is that they are not always "in your face!" about it.

Sorry but, you’ve been lied to. Either Hillary or Obama will wipe the floor with the ol’ man.

Remember Dole?

Shift is only temporary???? Where have you been the past eight years?? George Bush pushed this party left with his Ted Kennedy ass kissing education bill, his denying it was amnesty, and refusing to close the borders! This party has gone left his entire term. Just temporary??? I don't think so.

As for 2010 midterm, that is a pipe dream also. America has jumped on the "free stuff", "I want mine", "me, me, me" mentality, the "it's all about me generation" crap. America wants free stuff. With socialism they get their free stuff. By the time the fools wake up and see that free ain't free, it will be too late. America is all about getting the latest "stuff", watching American Idiot on TV, being on the Island, going to the bar, watching the BIG GAME. Look at TV this week, it is WALL TO WALL and nothing else about the damned Super Bowl. It is a football game, nothing else. But, watching on TV, you would think the entire destiny of the planet rides on THE BIG GAME!!! I like football. I have watched it all my life. But, I have yet to reach the point where I will jump off the roof or cry my eyes red because the team I wanted to win, loses. It ain't life and death to me and I live in life and death football country here in Alabama.

“McCain is the beat-Hillary candidate.”

I thougt Guliani was the only candidate that could beat Hillary. No, wait, during the Iowa caucuses, we were told that any of the Republican front runners could beat Hillary.
Now we are hearing that only McCain can beat Hillary.

I sure wish they would make up their minds.

“This shift to the left is only temporary. McCain’s candidacy will provide safe-haven for lefties who can’t stand Hillary.”

McCain has been moving to the right since running for President this time around. He has become more and more liberal over the years. I don’t see this as temporary, or as a shift to the left.

“No need for a new party. The RNC will be conservative again in 2010, midterm.”

The RNC has also been moving to the left. Do you have any evidence that the RNC will move back to the right?
