The Chris Plante & Chris Core “Super Tuesday” LIVE Thread from the Newseum, Washington, D.C.
"The Chris Plante Show" ^

Posted on 02/05/2008 10:03:52 AM PST by SilvieWaldorfMD

“The Chris Plante Show” tonight will feature WMAL’s morning host Chris Core, who will co-host with Plante on this Super Tuesday, watching the primary results coming in LIVE from the Newseum. Tune in through streaming audio (or to 630 AM radio in the D.C. region) for two hours of the most fun-filled, fastest-growing and sensational radio talk show, “The Chris Plante Show”.

“The Two Chrises” will be on from 8:06 to 10:00 p.m. If you want a serious political conversation mixed with sense of humor, knowledge, intelligence and detailed analysis in a highly-charged news talk radio show, along with a discussion of the breaking news of the day, then you’ve come to the right place. WELCOME TO “THE CHRIS PLANTE SHOW”!

CHRIS PLANTE BIO (some excerpts from WMAL) -

“The Chris Plante Show”, 630AM - WMAL, Washington, D.C. is broadcast live during the week, Mondays through Fridays from 8:06 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 12:06 - 2:00 p.m. by himself and with Jerry Klein, WMAL's Pet Liberal, from 2:06 - 3:00 p.m.

Chris Plante, often sub to Mark “The Great One” Levin, joined the WMAL team after 17 years at CNN including nearly ten years assigned to the Pentagon covering the U.S. military and intelligence community. Chris was assigned variously as Pentagon Correspondent, Senior Producer for National Security Affairs, Military Affairs Producer and as an assignment editor. He traveled extensively for CNN covering defense related stories from Saudi Arabia in 1990 and Bosnia in 1995, to Vietnam, Indonesia, Africa and the remote corners of the former Soviet Union.

Chris also hosts the public affairs show “Homefront America” which is currently seen nationally on The American Life television network, and is working as a documentary film maker. Representing the third generation of his family that has been “on-the-air” in radio and television, Chris brings a unique world-view, and largely conservative/libertarian values to his role as talk show host on WMAL.

Marching in lock-step with no politician, Chris says his political party is “Practi-crat”, “...because of my distinctly practical political leanings.” Chris received the Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio and Television News Directors’ Association (RTNDA) for his reporting from the Pentagon during the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001.

CHRIS CORE BIO (from WMAL) -

Chris Core takes a look at the most important city in the world as a broadcast veteran with over 30 years of experience. Marc Fisher of the Washington Post calls Chris, "A rare talker who gets the complexities of this region," reflecting a show that is more informative, more stimulating, and more entertaining than anything else on Washington radio.

Chris was nominated as one of the five best local talk show hosts in the country by Radio and Records Magazine and was listed again in 2007 as one of the Top 100 Talk Show Hosts in the country by Talkers Magazine -- for the 4th time! In his 3+ decades at WMAL, Chris has helped raise millions of dollars for charities including Fisher House, So Others Might Eat, The Salvation Army, Feed The Children, Children’s Hospital and for Leukemia research.

When I reach my “Core Threshold”, I just simply switch over to Laura Ingraham... she can get on my nerves too, though... I listen to her show out of loyalty to her sidekicks Matt, AJ & Joe... God, they are funny...

In what sense? The platform seems quite different to me from GWB in 2000 to McPain in 2008?

I get my greatest laughs from Grandy & Andy. When those two get going on a topic, it makes the drive in a LOT easier!

We voted Romney because the latest polls we saw showed him second to McCain. If Huckabee had been second, we would have voted for him. McCain must be stopped.

I don’t know that my experience is all that interesting.

How about your son? Is he up for the task of talking to a pair of radio hosts? Since it was his very first vote, it just sounds so very interesting...

Of course Plante will not vote for Hillary... those of us who know him already know that... if Plante votes for Hill or Barry, I’ll light myself on fire...

Even Rush was saying a vote for HuckAPHONY is a vote for McCain... in WV which requires a candidate get over 50% before being declared the winner.. the first round went to Romney.. but less than 50%.. in the second round of votes McCain voters
teamed up with Huckaphonys putting Huckaphony over the top!
