The problem is, these guys just couldn’t catch fire. As we’ve seen on the dem side, we need not just a conservative, but a conservative with CHARISMA (look at Obamania).
Or if not charisma, at least more likeability than the current crop - someone who makes people want to go out and vote FOR them, instead of voting AGAINST someone else.
After volunteering on a few campaigns and seeing the so-called professionals running things, I came to the conclusion that people who can’t do anything else, go into politics. The problem is that we give them so much power. Government needs to be cut down to a minimal size. Then these bozos won’t be able to do as much damage as they do. The next best option is gridlock, so they can’t get anything done.

We are indeed here tonight discussing the REPUBLICAN primaries. Therefore, I pointed out that the base's savaging of the front runners is not healthy to the REPUBLICAN party. While you have decided none of these candidates are conservative, the fact is 3 of them plainly received the support of most of the party, yet the base minus each one's supporters has also savaged each one as a "liberal". This attitude, IMHO is a factor in the lower REPUBLICAN turnout which is what we were discussing. There was no conservative party primary to discuss tonight.
