A pledge to never vote for McCain (Vanity)
February 5, 2008 | Tree of Liberty

Posted on 02/05/2008 10:11:11 PM PST by Tree of Liberty

If the unfortunate possibility of a McCain nomination comes to pass, I will not work for his election to the presidency, nor will I defend him in ad hoc conversations. He is wholly unworthy for that high office, and it is intolerable for my conscience to abide supporting him.

I will face two options once in the voting booth: 1) cast my ballot for a third party candidate, or 2) simply not vote in the presidential election.

I am curious who among you share my sentiments.

They wont be ACLU card carriers. Hillary’s appointees will.

Count at least 3 in my family in on this. Possibly as many as 10. No vote for McCain ever.

I can’t stand McCain, but he’s pro-life and pro-troops and won’t surrender to the Jihadists.

1) He supports the murder of embrionic human beings in order to steal their stem cells for vacuous experimentation

2) He supports closing Gitmo and transporting terrorists to American soil and granting them all the protections of our Constitution.

3) He would eliminate waterbording, and likely other coercive exercises to get truthful answers from enemy captives. He even hems and haws about using torture in "ticking time bomb" scenarios.

B. Hussien will get us nuked.
Hildabeast will set us up for another 9-11 like hubby.

McCain will be better on war on terror issues then them.

To stop them, I would vote for the SOB.

That DOESN’T mean conservatism can’t fight on!

Fostering conservatism does not depend on who is in the white house!

JM has already said that judges like Alioto (sp) are to conservative.
Doesn't sound to me like he will vote quality judges.

No! No. You have a DUTY to your country to do everything in your power to keep Hillary out of that office. I understand how you feel, I hate McCain too, but think of the Federal Judges that Hillary will appoint. Hillary will stack the courts with Judges that will make Ginsburg look conservative!!

Are you serious? This should have been considered before they chose McCrazy. No I will be voting for a third party candidate. I hope a third party announces soon.

"I can’t stand McCain, but he’s pro-life and pro-troops and won’t surrender to the Jihadists."

But he will surrender to dems in The Congress ane Senate. That's his track record. Watch your wallet and freedom. Does it matter who takes them both?

I don’t think McCain would have any reservation about authorizing torture... he’ll just make sure it is done “off the books”.

The way I feel now..I will not vote for President unless there is a third party(conservative) candidate.
That may change if we find a way to get McCaine by the cajones and squeeze.
Does anyone have video tapes?

If wishes were horses...

That's not meant as derision towards you, just recognizing the reality that any action by McCain to garner my support would be so unlikely as to be a hair's breadth from impossible.

I am going to take Ann Coulter’s advice. Whoever she campaigns for is going to be a great candidate.

Actually, the one that terrifies me is Obama.

He keeps giving these sermons on “changing America” looking “to the future, not the past”.

I think the change he’s picturing is European socialism. I think people have no idea the damage he’s capable of.

He talks about reaching across the aisle, but he has voted 100%liberal/socialist, never ever breaking ranks with his party. How can he possibly get along with someone like me when he wants to seize control of my life and strangle me with taxes?

The MSM treats him like God and people fall in love with him, and they don’t even know what he stands for or what he’s done. He scares me to death.

If Obama is the candidate, you can bet I’d vote against him.

The federalist society, headed by Calabresi, endorsed McCain as the candidate most likely to appoint constructionalist justices.

Stop being so cynical.

You don’t have to like the guy, but you don’t cut off the nose to spite the face!
