A pledge to never vote for McCain (Vanity)
February 5, 2008 | Tree of Liberty

Posted on 02/05/2008 10:11:11 PM PST by Tree of Liberty

If the unfortunate possibility of a McCain nomination comes to pass, I will not work for his election to the presidency, nor will I defend him in ad hoc conversations. He is wholly unworthy for that high office, and it is intolerable for my conscience to abide supporting him.

I will face two options once in the voting booth: 1) cast my ballot for a third party candidate, or 2) simply not vote in the presidential election.

I am curious who among you share my sentiments.

Why would his VP choice be the deciding factor?

Sir, I would agree with you, except for the fact that 6 of the supreme court judges will be over 70 by 2009. There is simply too much at stake to punt on this one.

For the last 10 years McCain has refused to vote with the party on several major issues.

Now McCain wants me to vote with the party by supporting him.

Screw McCain.

“That DOESN’T mean conservatism can’t fight on!”

Voting for McAmnesty is a surrender of conservatism. I refuse to do it.

Regarding McCain, we will have some serious Freeping to do to keep him on the right track. It can be done.

I will not leave a gaping hole in this country for the Islamonazis to stroll in.

No! No. You have a DUTY to your country to do everything in your power to keep Hillary out of that office. I understand how you feel, I hate McCain too, but think of the Federal Judges that Hillary will appoint. Hillary will stack the courts with Judges that will make Ginsburg look conservative!!
Please. For the sake of your children...and your children’s children.

Okay. Obama can beat her. I’ll vote for him before I’ll vote for McCain. There’s a chance that Obama could grow and learn. Slim, I admit. But it’s nonexistant with McCain. He KNOWS it all and YOU are stupid! He’s not changing and he’ll appoint liberal judges too. Count on it.

Mexico and it’s people practice bigotry as an excepted thing. Did you notice tonight that Hillary got the great majority of “Hispanic” vote? There is absolutely no reason for that except their prejudice against blacks.

A President Obama might get tired of that after a bit and do something with Mexico and it’s ‘attitude’.

B. Hussien will get us nuked.
Hildabeast will set us up for another 9-11 like hubby.

McCain will be better on war on terror issues then them.

To stop them, I would vote for the SOB.

That DOESN’T mean conservatism can’t fight on!

Fostering conservatism does not depend on who is in the white house!

Amen.

Sorry. I have been hearing the “Oh but the Supreme Court Justices will all be dead or retiring!” line for decades now. Bush did a good job getting us 2 on there that are light years better than what McCain will give us.

We need to focus on congress and the senate. The White House is LOST.

Hussein will NOT get us nuked. He will turn us over to the jihadists without a thought.

Agreed. I can easily see the November election destroying the Republican party in all but name. I can only hope that a true conservative party rises to take the label.

From your keyboard to G*ds ears.. After watching the RINO’s in Congress, over the years, relinguish the mandate from the ‘94 election just to placate the dem’s, we NEED a reborn Republican party or form a new Conservative Party. I hope and pray todays election is a wake-up call, but I am afraid it won’t be. The future is looking very grim...

I pledge to make my vote count to keep Obama or Hillary out of Office. I pledge to make my vote count so that Hillary or Obama will not take up the war against militant islam or the global war or terror. I will make my vote count to keep the Democrats from putting another abortionist judge in the US Supreme Court.

I will not waste or trash my vote by staying at home, writing in a name, or voting 3rd party. I realize that next year either a Republican or Democrat nominee will be the new President.

I may agree with McCain 40% (guessamate), but I disagree 100% with Obama/Hillary

I do this for my family and yours.

That is my pledge.

Because I HONESTLY believe he has mega health issues and due to age + serious temper tantrums, the guy is either going to be finished off by another round of Cancer or he’s gonna stroke out.

I’ll vote for anyone other than Hillary or Obama. The things is that McCain is a rather old man and might fall ill between now and the election. His mother might have genes for longevity, but that doesn’t mean McCain inherented them. The presidential run might stress his mind and body to the breaking point and he’ll be forced to drop out (OK, maybe not).
