If they don’t need conservatives (Rush fans and the rest of us), then why is McCain pleading for our support? You can’t have it both ways.

You only make good decisions from good information. Rush and Sean are not the only source but they alway will matter at a part of the search for the complete truth. I can skip all the drive by media but I have to get part from Rush. He is a good source. Sean is usually behind in time.

“It is necessary to destroy the party in order to save it.”
It’s not clear if the party will be destroyed by this, but it is necessary to be willing to see it destroyed if during the process of pushing back against a McCain nomination, we judge that allowing the party be be destroyed (as much by him as by us) is the better option for conservatism.

If they dont need conservatives (Rush fans and the rest of us), then why is McCain pleading for our support? You cant have it both ways. I never said that McCain wasn't trying to get conservative support.
I just said the whining and grumbling of conservatives hasn't stopped McCain from winning the Republican nomination so far.
And guess what? FOX is reporting that Romney is dropping out.
That's the power of the anti-McCain conservatives in action for you!

Now Daddy didn't like trouble, but if it came along Everyone that knew him knew which side that he'd be on He never was a hero, or this county's shinin' light But you could always find him standing up For what he thought was right
He'd say you've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything You've got to be your own man not a puppet on a string Never compromise what's right and uphold your family name You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything
Now we might have been better off or owned a bigger house If Daddy had done more givin' in or a little more backing down But we always had plenty just living his advice Whatever you do today you'll have to sleep with tonight
He'd say you've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything You've got to be your own man not a puppet on a string Never compromise what's right and uphold your family name You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything
Now I know that things are different than they were in Daddy's days But I still believe what makes a man really hasn't changed
You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything You've got to be your own man not a puppet on a string Never compromise what's right and uphold your family name You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything
You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything

That doesn’t mean rank and file conservatives will support McCain. His illegal alien friends, though, will likely carry the day for him.

I never liked his ridiculous "rebel" image and opposing conservatives so much, and never liked his reputation for having a bad temper. I don't believe a man with a volatile temperament should ever be in a position of leadership, and certainly not president.
But if it comes down to Hillary, Obama I'd support McCain, just to stop those two.

Obviously you think that disliking talk radio is some great crime.
To: humblegunner
Crime? Are you nuts? No one said anything about it being a crime. Just that some of your conclusions might be, shall we say, a “little” off.

Crime? Are you nuts? No one said anything about it being a crime. You saw fit to ping Jim Rob to your response.
That sounds a lot like "I'm telling!" as cried by a little kid on a playground.
I "said a bad word" about talk radio and you ran to "tell".
Last time I checked, I'm still allowed to have an opinion on things.
To: humblegunner
Telling? On who? On what? Sheesh. I pinged JimRob because it was one way of letting him know how much I appreciate the work people on FR have done, including exposing Dan Rather’s tawdry little fraud. FR has done a lot of good work like this, and it’s because of independent and highly intelligent people—and Jim providing the platform.
You can take the chip off your shoulder now.

You may very well be right, but it’s a very thin hope to cling to. Certainly not enough to make me vote for the little skank.
