Benton County? Who wins there? That is supposedly where some outstanding results are?

Thanks. I just posted the WA State GOP results. Next update is supposed to be at 10:15, but the last one was 1/2 hr late. I think I’m going to sign off and go watch a little TV then turn in. Fingers crossed for the results in the a.m. Night all.

McCain is crying out of his left eye too

Well, they ARE very close, so it's only fitting that they cry together!

They usually have it split out rather nicely in the general, but I just went to the WA Sect’y of State site and nothing there.

The news just said that it was record turnout across the state for both parties. And said, “Mitt Romney is doing quite well even though he dropped out on Wed.”

I’ve met the man numerous times before in social situations and know people who have left his church.

He’s the kind of man who rolls his eyes at you when you disagree with him and says that he doesn’t care what you say because Huckabee is a fine Christian.

My complaint is that today I thought I was going to be able to express my wishes for what candidate I wanted and also to express my displeasure with the party for what has taken place. Neither happened. You were there, it was a procedure, not a debate. There was no discussion of the candidates. I don't know what is being reported as the "caucus results", but it is not what this member of my precinct believes.

As I think I said before, this was an unusual caucus (20 years since my first). Believe me, debates are the usual rule of the day and to the point where I'm just waiting for the noise to be over so we can get get down to business. The best I can figure today is that folks were too shell-shocked.

The "debate" portion where the heat usually begins... well... nobody seemed to want to bring it up. And to be frank, that included me as a longtime "regular," because there didn't seem to be an answer waiting anywhere. Yes, the system is broken, but I'm hearing no solutions anywhere so bringing it up accomplishes... nothing.

If anyone has answers, there will be opportunity to bring them up in subsequent events this year.

Believe me, party regulars are hardly adverse to debates, for all that they should be...

The alternative is to accept ballots that were turned in by people who might not have been willing to give an oath that they are actually Republicans.

:-( Kinda hard to argue that these should be counted, much as I’d like them to be.

I wanted and also to express my displeasure with the party for what has taken place.

I think we all feel that way.

Well, if the anti-McCain vote keeps happening, I think they will start to get just how unhappy the voters really are.

It is so strange how different each State is.

One of the few wonderful elements of our republic left...each state has the right to do it their own way... :-)

Of course, the institutionalization of party systems is wrong.

We didn’t have anything like that at my caucus, so I didn’t understand that was what the issue was.
I’m wondering if that was explained to people, since I bet there are MANY first timers participating. Oh well, McCain lost in Kansas and Louisiana, and he might even lose in WA, which will be awesome. I was really hoping Ron Paul would beat him too. ;o)
