In election 2008, dont forget Angry White Man
Gary Hubbell February 9, 2008
There is a great amount of interest in this years presidential elections, as everybody seems to recognize that our next president has to be a lot better than George Bush. The Democrats are riding high with two groundbreaking candidates a woman and an African-American while the conservative Republicans are in a quandary about their partys nod to a quasi-liberal maverick, John McCain.
Each candidate is carefully pandering to a smorgasbord of special-interest groups, ranging from gay, lesbian and transgender people to children of illegal immigrants to working mothers to evangelical Christians.
There is one group no one has recognized, and it is the group that will decide the election: the Angry White Man. The Angry White Man comes from all economic backgrounds, from dirt-poor to filthy rich. He represents all geographic areas in America, from urban sophisticate to rural redneck, deep South to mountain West, left Coast to Eastern Seaboard.

while the conservative Republicans are in a quandary about their partys nod to a quasi-liberal maverick, John McCain Correction: That should be quasi-maverick liberal.
The problem is, even though McCain is admittedly both white and angry all the time, none of these three is a good angry white-man candidate.

Good Luck with that given the way things are turning out.

And, don’t you forget it Gary - - a metrosexual, no doubt, who was last angered when his latte was cold.

I have been a regular critic of W. But the odds that our next president will be better than Bush is surpassingly close to zero.

Actually, McAmnesty will be the one candidate that mobilizes the Angry White Man crowd, AGAINST HIMSELF.
It is really too sad that the GOP and RNC could not walk away from AMNESTY.
They could have gotten back both the House, Senate, and the Presidency if they had done the right thing on this issue alone.
Now they will lose all three because of their arrogance and stubborness.

White men in general would have a very hard time voting for a black... or a gay woman for President.

Have white males ever done anything good for this country?
I have yet to see anything positive written about the group.
Maybe they should be kicked out of the country and our problems will be solved.

I’m an Angry White Man and I be happy to vote for a non-white or a woman, if they were the right people.

Given that I don’t “recognize” this to be the case, it would seem the author’s presumptions are invalid from the very first sentence.

I hate to tell you that the last angry white man passed to his reward on May 15, 2004.
All the proof one needs is a cursory examination of the condition of our federal and state governments.

GW Bush is one of America’s greatest presidents, and one day will be recognized as such, just as happened with HS Truman (even tho he was a Democrat).

Granted, but Hillary or Obama are not the right people.
To: Sen Jack S. Fogbound
Be better then George Bush... so it can not be Bill Clinton as co President to Hillary, since G.W. inherited a recession on top of 9/11.
Bill and his co-President Hillary allowed this 9/11 attack on the country to drag on and mature ever since becoming aware of it in ‘96.

Then, when they fail miserably, the NAWMs (Not Angry White Males) can gloat.
