Geez, Michele. I am 55 years old and have been proud of my country my whole life. What gives with you?

What an absolutely OUTRAGEOUS comment for a possible first lady to make!!!

It is disgusting that someone like her,,,,in a country as great as ours....can make a demeaning comment like that about our country.

She is a total embarrassment to our ENTIRE COUNTRY for making such a bogus, anti-American, insulting statement about the greatest country on earth (but then again, that makes her no different than her husband)!!!

Well, if she is 45, that would mean she hasn’t been a proud American since roughly 1980. Reagan was elected that year. The only Dem president since has been Clinton, and she certain won’t say she was proud during those years.

Giving her the benefit of the doubt, she may have meant that she hasn’t been proud of the country’s leadership. But it certainly sounds bad the way she said it.

This woman and this couple is dangerous! about as scary to me as the Clinton’s. The media will look past all their transgressions. Then of course, we have the wonderful John McCain to look forward to, even if we happen to win—which ain't looking too good right now. How did it come to this??

The first time in her life she is proud of her country? We don’t need the Obamas to tell us whether they are proud of us or not.

That this isn’t treated as a gaff says a lot about the state of the nation.

I am writing Ms. Obama in instead of voting for McCain, because he isn’t a true conservative.

This reminds me of a 25 yo psychologist I worked with in 2003. She was a graduate of a liberal college in Washington State. And I remember her saying that this country had done nothing for her. She said she had no love for this country.

I was in shock. But what Michele Obama says here is that same mind set; and it is sad. We have lost a large part of a generation.

What a stupid woman!
How embarrassing for her parents.
She makes me want to vomit.
God have mercy on us if this couple gets into the White House.

Save your criticism of this moron for the general. The most important thing we can do at this point is still to get rid of the Clintons.
Obamma and obamma moma will be easy to throw under the bus when the time comes with stupid unAmerican statements like this one.

This is an extremely disturbing admission by a woman who could be First Lady.

I am sincerely glad she is proud of her country. We need a lot more of that in the USA.

If ya thought Hillary was a shrew as First Lady, just watch what happens if Obama gets elected and Michele gets into the White House. She makes Hillary look almost lovable.

This, combined with Obama's refusal to salute the flag, makes it very clear where they're coming from.

Come to think of it, I think I'm too young to remember a time when this country had two parties whose leadership actually loved their country. And, while I'm relatively young, I'm not that young.

Nothing wrong with being proud of your country but I wonder how she would feel if her hubby faced a conservative candidate and a chance of losing.
