Power outage turns South Florida dark

Florida Power & Light is reporting massive power outages throughout South Florida, including Miami, Doral, Westchester, and Pembroke Pines. Reports of outages extended into Palm Beach, an FPL spokeswoman said.

The company said it was investigating the problem.

CNN says 3 of the eight nuclear reactor units were effected and two are now back on line.

Fox and CNN are giving conflicting reports.

Now, CNN says 5 reactors went down at Turkey Point Nuclear Plant..TWO have come back on line..THREE are still off line.

She doesn’t live ON Sanibel. She lives in Ft. Myers. Her inlaws lived on the island until the hurricane, then they decided to move inland.

Turkey Point Nuclear Power facility has only two Nuclear reactors, there are three “fossil fuel” generators on site as well.
