If Barack [CENSORED] Obama is ashamed of his middle name then far be it for the Republicans to mention it. I would suggest that Barack change it to “Delano” or “Fitzgerald” or something else he considers to be more presidential. Barack Delano Obama or Barack Fitzgerald Obama sounds way more like the name of an American President doesn’t it? He couldn’t be a Jr. then though.

Unless, he is not proud of his own heritage...

Barack [CENSORED] Obama, Jr. was named after his father a Muslim polygamist who deserted his son and wife after 2 years. Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. was not a man to instill pride of heritage.

It is Barack [CENSORED] Obama, and that is the name they will use when he states his full name at the swearing in ceremony in Jan ‘09.

It will be a little hard for Obama to negotiate with the Iranians if he is subject to a death penalty for apostasy.

Exactly right! Attack his lack of experience, ultra liberal policies, and ties to questionable people (terrorists).

Yep...the RINO’s have won back the GOP. It’s over. Obama will win with no substance because the majority of voters are totally hypnotized with his Jedi mind tricks of “change” and “hope” and “these are not the droids you are looking for”.

McCain and the RINO’s are already capitulating and are running the WORST campaign I’ve seen since Ford/Dole in 1976.

Why? Because they’ll be the first to put on the knee pads in the Senate and beg Obama for mercy as they give him 95-5 votes for anything he wants. The House is already lost and won’t be taken back by the GOP for another generation.

At least Buckley had the sense enough to die before witnessing this tragedy of watching spineless cowards kneel before their overlord masters.

But as long as they still get invited to the best cocktail parties in Georgetown to make their wives happy, all is well.

trying to get people to think negatively about him by the racial and cultural heritage he was born of.

His Muslim polygamist father named him after himself then abandoned him and his mother his cultural heritage is WASP. If he is ashamed of Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. I don't blame him.

I’m tired of this kid gloves treatment of Obama. This man is running for the most powerful office in the world, and he needs to be put through the ringer. The fact that he keep evading the tough questions regarding policy questions should be an area of concern for everyone, regardless of their political affiliation.

You’ll be disappointed. McCain is going to agree with EVERYTHING Obama or Clinton believe in except he’ll offer an alternative that 1) supposedly cost less and 2) raises a tax to pay for it.

McCain is nothing but Dem-lite and I find it appalling that so-called conservatives in this forum are drinking the Jim Jones punch.

Desparation I guess.

Your profile explains why true conservatism surrendered to the socialist years ago.

True conservatism is the ultimate compassion - the fight for the individual to be free. Anything else is feel good crap fronting for totalitarian control over the masses through government. Putting Compassionate in front of Conservative is to give in to the left.

No. Not when so many hide what is actually egocentricity behind the term "conservatism" -- which turns out not to be about conserving the principles and ideals of America's founding, but about conserving one's advantage over others.

and a comment directed specifically at his father (however cheap or unfair) would be no more "racist" than Ann Richards talking about GHWB being born with a silver foot in his mouth.

That was below the belt, too.

You can damn sure bet that if he is sworn in, it will be by his full name and the media will shove it in the face of everyone. The idea that only Obama can use his middle name is a loser — words have meaning and if you can control the words, you can control the argument. It is very similar to *pro choice* vs. *pro life*, *enemy* or *terrorist* vs. *insurgent* or *freedom fighter*, etc.

What if his middle name was Saddam? Would the RNC and some here insist that referring to him by that name — the name history will most certainly record — is off limits?

I shall await the incoming rationalizations....
