Both are good guys. Ogonowski darned near beat Tsongas’ widow in a special election last fall as the result of the Mahty Meehan “retirement” of the 10th C.District. Course now Mahty is the Chancellor of U. Mass Lowell after the requisite “Nationwide Search”.
The fact that Niki Tsongas had to hang on by her fingernails can only be attributed to Uncle Ted’s usual tricks.

Kerry will win his seat simply because he is a Democrat. That is all it takes to win in MA. Ogonowski is a good man and infinitely better than Kerry but a Republican just cannot win in MA. I live there and there are enough people here that simply vote the democrat party line and no amount of reason and logic will sway them.

MA is a lost cause for the GOP now and until at least 2020 when the Kennedy lovers die out. We best focus on other Senate and Congress seats, forget about Kerry losing.

"He will be re-elected, period. First, no other Dem is going to challenge the cancerours hold of the Dem Party and one of theirs in a primary. Secondly there is nary a Republican in Mass who is going to mount a challenge in a general election. Keep in mind, when it comes to politics, Mass is like northern California sans the Pacific view."

Hence why I never really trusted Mitt Romney. When he was debating Ted Kennedy in 1994, he bent backward and forward to show how he "agreed" with Kennedy on SO many issues. Instead of going for the drunken greasebag's jugular. If the GOP couldn't pick up a seat in 1994, they never will.

did anyone else notice the approval record of the Governor he is een lower than Kerry. But, nobody is as low as Spitzer in New York who is at 35% with over half disapproving. We may not be able to elect a Senator in these two states but we can sure elect a Governor and that is what will happen in two years.

I’d expect if Deval Patrick is defeated, he will be taken out in the primary. Until we can rebuild our numbers in the MA legislature, there is no reason for a Republican to be elected Governor there. NY is a different story, but once we lose control of the State Senate there, it will swiftly go downhill.

If voters don’t like Kerry, and like the Republican candidate, there is always a chance at an upset. Given that Mitt Romney wants to become president someday, maybe he can prove his mettle by taking on Kerry.

I think there’s a better chance of Adriana Lima and Miranda Kerr falling into my lap than a Republican getting elected Senator from Massachusetts...
