Mr. Poe has captured the truth about this election and hilary, you will want to read this article.
Thank you for the ping, I am glad that I read the article.
The day before the Iowa cacuses, I was able to get on a talk show to ask a question of Ron Paul. First, I praised her for his vigorous defense of the Constitution. Then, I told him I had a foreign policy question.
Q: Knowing what we know about the policy of the mullahs and Ahmadinejad relative to Israel, if North Korea sent a ship to Iran with nuclear missiles, would you either board and capture or sink the ship?
A: Why would we?
That told me all I needed to know about Ron Paul. He is Unfit for Command.
Are you seriously trying to help improve upon Dick Morris’s “often wrong” political predictions?
This is a fantastic article... not so much for its message, but for the wealth of linked information comntained therein.
Conservatives who vote for Hillary! are just messing with the democrat party, nothing more.
Granted, McCain is far from the ideal GOP candidate, but seems significantly better than the other two.
Destroy the party? The GOP has been very resiliant over 150 years, and has not been "destroyed" despite such non-conservative nominees as Dwight Eisenhower, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, George H. W. Bush, and Bob Dole. This is not the first time, even in relatively recent history, that this is happening. And surely an "in" party holding the White House is less likely to be "destroyed" than an "out" party.
McCain "in a stronger position to pass malign legislation than a Democrat"? That depends to a large extent on the makeup of the next Congress, but a 'Rat Congress and a 'Rat president figures to be the most malign circumstance.
This reminds me of 1968-1969 and the SDS split into RYMI-RYMII and the Weathermen.
There is a pathology on the Left that always results in internecine warfare and divisive splits. Likely this is because they are each after personal power, rather than pure ideologues. As each movement/revolution grows and ages, there are individuals who do not get what they think they deserve/are entitled to. These people harbor grudges, ally ad hoc against whomever does have power and counter-revolutions are born.
My husband and I got out of the Left totally in the 1970s, but we were around for 1968-1969. We keep saying to each other that this year’s Democrat fight reminds us strongly of 40 years ago. Many of the most active young Leftists are nihilists and they will at least try to bring about anarchy at the convention. They call themselves R68 for “Recreate ‘68”.
Remember: while far from stupid and very, very rich, they just are not that talented. Look at how much has already been made public from the past 40 years relative to this campaign, for example. Talented people would have covered their tracks a lot better, IMO. I believe there is a chance they will blow it once again. No one thought Nixon would win. No one thought Reagan would win. The Left thought they had defeated Bush twice. The leaders are extremely arrogant.
The mass of American voters are pragmatic. Most are secular. A majority are not suicidal. I do know sane Democrats who are not buying the hype and who also are not feminists. I was hearing ardent Greens putting McCain forth as a possible POTUS over a year and a half ago. McCain (whom I do not like, but for whom I will vote)only needs a percentage of the usual Dem voters, especially if another percentage stays home.
Vote fraud is my major fear this fall.
Yes, Hillary Conservatives, a mystery worthy the pen of a Poe!
Though I have some question as to whether there is such an animal as a “Hillarycon,” thanks for keeping the troops on the alert for her. It ain’t over until it’s over!
“Im with you. When my states primary FINALLY comes up in May - I will vote a straight Republican ticket - but I will vote for Ron Paul instead of John McCain. Ron Paul is the most conservative candidate still on the ballot.
I will not submit, but will send a message with my vote. McCain must be stopped before the convention - it is still not too late to get rid of him.”
I can certainly understand folks voting for someone other than McCain in the primary elections. I voted for Romney once Fred was gone.
I realize there is a slight chance that McCain will not reach the 1,191 delegate number but I guess the results of next Tuesday’s primary elections will let us know.
My concern is that so many folks are saying they will not vote for McCain in November if he IS the nominee. I hope those folks realize that four years of McCain would not do near the damage to our country that one year of Obama or Hillary would.
Ping!
If she's loaning her sinking campaign money, how is she going to have anything worth stealing for Switzerland? Certainly Bubba and she have already bilked millions outta their supporters and sycophants.
Nicely done.
Thank you for the ping justice, I posted in #54.
Thank you Phil, I received several pings on this.
Good graphic of ol’ Medusa head and Osama-bama
I don't know if we can beat an Obama/Clinton ticket, but I think we could beat a Clinton/Obama ticket.
But then there's the "beat the evil you know" strategy.
Thank you Spirit, I had 4 pings on Richard’s good thread.
You didn’t answer?
