I'm listening to Bob Beckel and Brit Hume talking about turnout in Ohio. Beckel is using terms like "Wow" and "remarkable" and "unbelievable" greater than past preseidential elections, and this is just a primary.

At what point does unbelievable turnout become unbelievable, and credible questions be raised?

Obama initially led in Texas by 20%. The Clintons are now ahead.

She won Texas and from the exit polls it looks like she won it big:

“Clinton won white women by 19 points; white men, a swing group in many Democratic primaries this year, split evenly between the two.”

“Latinos turned out in big numbers in the Texas Democratic primary, accounting for a record 30 percent of voters, up from 24 percent in 2004 – second in this cycle only to New Mexico, and matching California. They went nearly 2-1 for Clinton, 63-35 percent, a crucial element for her”

clinton won white women by 19%. white women are the largest group in America.

“I agree. Rush and Levin are idiots for telling their audiences to vote for Hillary in Texas. “

Well, when you get your “millions of audience”, you can tell them that.

Remember 1992? And then the national response in 1994? That's what will happen again.

A McCain presidency would make it MUCH more difficult for the Republican minority to block the worst of the bills (like they did against HillaryCare) for two (not four) years.

“the exact same thing is true of Obama, and nobody is talking about that.”

Many Democrats actually BELIEVE the press releases of thier politcal heros, and believe they would NEVER put thier own enlightened self-interest ahead of the Party...

They are about to get schooled in strong-arm politcking, and I, for one, am going to laugh my ass off...

Ohio is 41% counted by the #s I have, with Hill at 57.2%. I know little about Ohio except that Cleveland/Cuyohoga (sp?) County usually reports late - just like most big cities. Obama may do well in Cleveland. TX is a dead heat.

At any rate, this is FAR more interesting than reading Fox's analysis of Clinton changing the brightness on an ad to alter the shade of Obama's skin.

Is that the county to which the Governor gave permission for some of the day’s early ballots to be picked up mid-day? Is that where FIVE DemocRats showed up, against the Governor’s direction that there be a mix of parties in the van?

McCain does not look healthy.

McCain is not healthy. Look for his "frinds" in the NY Slimes and MSM to start beating that drum in due time.

CNN is saying that Obama will get a huge bump in Ohio because they haven’t yet reported Cleveland and Columbus.

I will guarantee that if Obama wins in Ohio it will be contested in court. Fox News reported that a judge ordered certain districts to remain open longer, but on the order did not state a reason.

Those districts were cherry picked to favor Obama.

“No - Cuyahoga County has a HUGE population - both those districts, especially 11 are heavily Black.”

Tux, Cuyahoga county has about 1.4 million people. About 1 million over age 18. About 550,000 registered voters. About 400,000 Registered Dems. In a primary, 50% turn out is very high - which this is. Hence my projection of 200,000 total votes.

Granted while the total county is only 26% black, it has the highest total number of blacks in Ohio. It’s possible that the absentee voting is heavily weighted toward Clinton, while the poll voting is weighted toward Obama. Still, the results will have to be more than 80% Obama in Cuyahoga for Barack to pull this out.

Possible - not likely.

Yes, by a current margin of about 1400 votes out of over a million.

I'm done with this thread. It's like talking to walls. People have no idea how election returns come in. Yes, the vote is close. Yes, Hillary! might eek out a win, but it won't be enough to win the overall delegate count in Texas. Ohio will be a wash.

NONE of the Strong Obama areas are in yet in either State. Much of Cleveland won't be counted to 430AM (A judge just ordered that many precincts in Obama area stay open much later.)

HILLARY DIDN'T DO WHAT SHE NEEDED TO DO.

O.B.A.M.A. I.S. T.H.E. N.O.M.I.N.E.E.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See you all in the morning.
