I want to throw up! The upcoming election, IMO, is a national disgrace. Our ancestors are turning in their graves at this outrage.

I just returned from the Precinct 207 caucus in Williamson County, Texas. This should give you an idea of how it went.

Top 10 things overheard at the Precinct 207 caucus:

10. Does the coke machine take food-stamps?
9. I am voting for Monica Lewinsky’s ex-boyfriends wife.
8. I know he doesn’t say anything, but he says it soooo well.
7. Excuse me, can you sign this so I can prove to my parole office that I was here.
6. If we weren’t such a-holes, the muslims would love us.
5. It’s Bush’s fault!
4. Why stop at health care? Why not free auto insurance as well?
3. If I hadn’t aborted her, my daughter would be about your age.
2. I am just here for the welfare.

And the number one thing overheard at the precinct 207 caucus...

1. Which one of you wants to pay for my rectal exam?

So once we Republicans are thrown off Free Republic, where shall we go? My husband pays monthly, so we can afford to support another site. Any ideas?

He's about to become a "cranky, ill-tempered, irascible" retiree if he thinks running as John Wayne from "The Longest Day" is the right strategy for this election.

You think? All the Rudy people got thrown out. I like Rudy, don't agree with him on a lot of things, but I like him. McCain was not my first choice, or even second, but he has the nomination, so.... I will vote for him.

Waiting to be banned. :)

Now Huckabee has been cured of his JES (John Edwards syndrome).

Hopefully the dems primary fight will last for awhile longer allowing McCain to keep taking shots at them without them being free to answer back effectively.

“Geez, if this doesn’t sound like the SoreLoserman thread I don’t know what does.”

Sorry you’re wrong - It’s the “DEATHOFMYPARTY” thread ... good luck to those who will hold their noises - I’ve won’t do it again! My ethics won’t hold up to it.

I leave you with one of the best quotes from any movie

“If we lived in a state where virtue was profitable, common sense would make us saintly. But since we see that avarice, anger, pride and stupidity commonly profit far beyond charity, modesty, justice and thought, perhaps we must stand fast a little, even at the risk of being heroes.”

— Sir Thomas More in the movie A Man For All Seasons

The strategy is yet to be worked out. Republicans have the advantage of knowing who their nominee is right now. Tomorrow the work begins.

I will not give in to the enemy who wants to Divide and Conquer. We had better give John McCain our support, or resign ourselves to Bill Clinton back in the White House trashing it again.

I think many of us are in the same boat. I wanted Huckabee; if not him, Romney. Well, I got McCain. I’ll work with him, not against him.

Great! Just what we need, another milk and toast Republican in the Oval Office. Four or eight more years of blindness, deafness, and aloofness. Liberalism will continue to poison the White House and the nation as it has for the last 21 years. With each passing election, the GOP further proves that it is becoming more and more obsolete. Most likely, the Republican Party will continue to liquify and drip into the liberal mold. Meanwhile, the true conservatives will continue to have less of a voice until we move on to a party that holds true to the values that we hold dear. Yes, at first the prospects for victory will be slim. However, would you vote for what you desire and not get it or vote for that which you hate and get it?

...and McCain did hint that he might only be a one-term president.

I don't believe this for an instant. His advanced age might prevent him from taking a second term, but it won't be by choice that he relinquishes the reins.

I’m afraid, though, that McCain will pick a RINO, just like him, like the very, very liberal Gov. Charlie Crist.

You can bet on it, just like you can bet he'll pack the SCOTUS with democrat approved judges, no matter what hollow promises he makes to try and fool the voters...

Excellent. Now we can officially cast off the yoke of having that liberal RINO as our state senator.

God help us...

...for Satan has taken the reins of the GOP and refers to good as "evil" and evil as "good"...all in the name of "reaching across the aisle" to kowtow to the sworn infiltrators and enemies of our nation.
