It strikes me as good politics also. She’d appeal to all the young working mothers in America, of which there are tens of millions.
But this is exactly why many people will not vote for a woman in her 20s through 40s.
Maybe she wants a good family and do well for her State. (Good for her).
I doubt this pregnancy was not planned.

Well perhaps the pills didn’t work? In any case, we can all be happy for her and her family and welcome yet another english speaker to our nation. It’s wonderful that they can have children; I know so many couples who delayed child rearing only to find that they’d become infertile. What a horrible thing to find.
True, but it maintains my sanity! I also put a 10 year span between two of my children and think she's insane for her 18 year span (if intentional) and I wasn't the Governor of Alaska at the time! She must be married to quite the mister mom. I'm not. lol

You seem to have some odd notions about pregnant women and women who've just had babies. You seem to think they are helpless, emotional wrecks, when the opposite is more like the truth.
You must be kidding with that statement/question.

Apparently not. Do you have a problem with people having more than four kids? If you do, what is the optimum number?
If the kid turns out to be a dwarf, they’ll simply rename him “Half-Track”....
I got sucked into lunch duty at my kids school today. It’s a private Christian school. The names of the kids were all over the charts, many were pretty weird, at least to my way of thinking.
The kids were courteous and pretty sweet for the most part, so who’s to say what’s in a name. It is an odd phenomena though.
