Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says she's pregnant with 5th child and is due sometime in May

Associated Press - March 5, 2008 10:43 PM ET

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and her husband are expecting their fifth child.

Palin, 44, wouldn't say whether the child will be a boy or a girl, explaining that she had not shared that with their children yet. The baby is due in mid-May.

She and her husband, Todd, have three girls and a boy, ages 6 to 18. Their oldest, Track, enlisted in the Army last year.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Jane Swift was the nation's first governor to give birth while in office. She had twin girls May 15, 2001.

Palin has been mentioned as a potential running mate on the Republican presidential ticket.

At 44 and now in a taxpayer paid position, she should have accepted her four kids and concentrated on her duties as governor.

Or governess.

That’s good, at least he doesn’t have to race dogs and have them die every now and then on him. It would suck to lose one of your dogs and be bummed out and continue racing.

I am just making a point that she is now in a very responsible position and now she is going to be hormonal and cranky.

She can screw her husband all she wants, but having another child is distracting when she is trying to run a huge state with many things going on.

So, say she was using birth control and the pregnancy just happened? It's possible, you know.

Should she then slaughter the innocent so she can get on with working for the people?

Sometimes, even in this age, unintended pregnancies do happen and thankfully, there are still women who don't run for a butcher to have the child ripped apart just for convenience...

She will be out of office for possibly months.

Good grief! This isn't the 1800's! She'll probably be back on the job after two weeks, especially with this being #5. Other than lots of travel or meetings, which the Lt. Gov. could handle for a few weeks, most of her work could be done sitting at a desk while nursing a baby. Now how's THAT for multi-tasking?

**Especially** if they give the kid a wingdinger

Say
Skidoo (snow machine)
Polarius (snow machines)
Head (AS IN SKIS)
Rohn (a small town up here)
Iditrod (famous trail)

and so on.

In just the last couple of weeks I have met
Denim
Rowdy
Fashion (FAsh - on)
REmington (yes, after the rifle)
and on and on.

Beats
Moesha
Sheena

I like old school names
Betty
Maryanne
and the like.

But Shakespeare had it right on names all along....

Some of the posters are morons.

Listen folks, she was a mayor of a town in Alaska when she had a child on monday and was back at work on a Tuesday.

She is delivering in May.

The convention ain’t til August.

Which means that she could still very well be the VEEP.

And what a VEEP she would make.

Take that Harridans!

Absolutely, no birth control is 100% effective.

Even tubal ligation has a failure rate - less than 1%, but it still fails.

Leave the lady alone. Unless you want to ban women from public office from ages 18-50, they are going to get pregnant every so often.

That could explain the “track” thing. Maybe they’ll name this new kid “Ski”.
